My Christmas Loot: Part 3, Looty's Revenge.
Here we go for the third time around....
Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)
You're damned right, Guardians Of The Galaxy!!
(See here, here, here, and here for my summer viewings and recap)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
This could have owned summer all by itself, but no, Marvel pulls out Guardians on us, and it's like secret birthday cake after the main course.
(See here, and here)
X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)
Yep, the top 3 on my summer movies list were my top 3 on my X-mas list.
That was easy.
(See here, and here)
The Punisher (1989)
See here.
I finally re-watched this on Youtube fairly recently, and it's a lot better than I remembered.
So, had to own it.
An odd throwback to early-80's in the late-80's.
Now, with 25 years behind it, the nostalgia drips even sweeter.
Love it.
Always can stand to have me some more Punisher in the collection.
Punisher: War Zone (2008)
See here.
Damned right.
I only regret not getting it sooner.
Got 'em all.
Tome Jane, Dolph Lundgren, Ray Stevenson.
They're ostensibly remakes, but like the Hulks, I put 'em in sequence as a trilogy.
Also, I count as canon that Punisher was in the Penski truck in "Winter Soldier".
Hannibal: Season 2 (2014)
See here.
Not here yet.
Floating around in the Amazon-zone somewhere.
Le-sigh.
I've already watched 'em all, so all I'll need to update this year is Hannibal.
And, that's it this year.
The rest was grub.
Gourmet taffy, a popcorn bucket, cookies, etc, etc.
Burp!
The End!

DC Cinematic Universe updates. (part 6)
Okay, DC/Warners are dragging their feet, and I'm sick of waiting.
Here goes...
The script for Justice League Dark, A.K.A. "Dark Universe", has been handed in by Guillermo del Toro. No word yet beyond that.
The script for Sandman has been handed in, and the studio likes it, so I personally consider that one a done deal.
Neil Gaiman has said these weren't announced alongside the other DCs because they're Vertigo, thus count as a separate thing.
Whenever they're officially announced (or not, shit could happen), I'll update this post.
This'll be the placeholder.
Anyhoo, retro linking to Thanksgiving.

Marvel/DC TV update. (Part 2)
Part 1.
Okay, I've been tossing these updates into comments on that post, but let's make it a post.
S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 played out, and Lucy Lawless croaked immediately.
D'oh!!!
Also, lots of other spoilers happened.
Agent Carter's filling in for S.H.I.E.L.D. starting January.
Daredevil looks like this.
At least, at first.
Here's Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl in "Powers".
You may remember her as Ro Laren on TNG, or as every fanboy's choice for live-action Aeon Flux, before we got Charleze Theron instead.
Krysten Ritter has been cast as Jessica Jones.
Mark Hamill is coming back to the Flash multiverse as The Trickster.
Also, the mid-season finale had Reverse-Flash, and Firestorm.
Brandon Routh has been on "Arrow", as Ray Palmer, but hasn't turned into The Atom yet.
Gotham keecks ahhss, and is probably my favorite of all of these so far.
Constantine is decent, but there's already talk of cancellation.
No word yet on Izombie, or Supergirl.
Ditto "Preacher".
There's going to be a Krypton prequel series about Superman's grandpa.
Meh....
...and finally, the live-action Teen Titans is happening.
No word yet on characters or casting.
Retro-linking to Thanksgiving.

Sony-Spidey cinematic universe updates (Part 4).
*Sigh* damn you, Sony...
All right, so here's the deal....
Sony got hacked, their inter-office E-mails got leaked, and the Sony/Marvel Spidey/Avengers deal was indeed a real thing.
BUT, nothing came of it.
They wanted more creative control over Spidey than Marvel was willing to give, even though Marvel was willing to split the profits 60/40.
BUT, after the leaks, the higher-HIGHER ups at Sony Japan, bleeding from the ass over the hacks, now want the deal to go through, and are willing to let Marvel make them squeal like piggies to get the tattered Spidey franchise off their hands.
SOOO, this would mean a re-reboot of Spidey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, no more Andrew Garfield, and "Venom", "Glass Ceiling", "Aunt May", and "Sinister-Six", being dead as a doornail.
BUT, it also leaves Marvel floundering where to put Spidey.
He'd be a natural for "Civil War", because he was heavily involved in that arc in the comics, but the script for that film is a lock (although, seems to me, filming a little cameo scene, and cutting it into the film wouldn't be an extraordinary measure).
They could certainly get him into "Infinity War".
Keep in mind, the deal hasn't gone through yet, and shit could still happen, but that's where it is right now.

Ghostbusters 3 update. (addendum)
Last time.
Okay screw it, Ghostbusters 3 already exists.
It had the original cast together and everything.
It was the video game, and you don't even have to play it anymore, Youtube has the cut-scenes all spliced into a film.
Takes place 2 years after Ghostbusters 2.
Enjoy.
You're welcome.

Fox Cinematic Universe update (part 3)
Parts 1 & 2 being X-Men since they're Fox too.
So...
Now, we get word on Fantastic Four.
Here's the official plot description.
“The Fantastic Four,” a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
And here's the un-official but probably accurate spoiler-ridden plot description.
Linky!.
Hmm...
Discuss.
Also, retro-linking this to Thanksgiving.
