I think we just might survive Trump overall, but he's gonna take the economy over the cliff as he croaks miserably and pathetically. His cult seems to want that.

And even if you want to argue it's a serious scientific concept with an unfortunate sounding name....fuck off anyway.
The so-called scientists involved should have picked a better name, and they were smart enough to do so. They knew exactly what they were doing.

And, either the people passing this crap along know damned well what they're doing, or they're total morons.
But people that stupid can fall for Joe Rogan, Bill Maher, and Bari Weiss, so stupid vs evil really makes no difference.

Thanks for the birthday well wishes everyone! Had...an okay time. Had the family over, and we gorged and laughed. Ma's absence didn't catch up to me until the very end when everyone was leaving. Got a little tingle-eyed. Ma's gone, I'm 50, Trump's president. All of this feels like a weird fucking dream.

Seventeen years of Shmegalamonga!!!
Year 17.
Saw "Deadpool & Wolverine".
And, got it on Blu-ray.
Trump got-re-elected, and we're basically all just waiting to die. 😔😓
Hence the book reading to fill the hole.
I said last year...
There's a bunch of drama in my social media life that I don't want to talk about.
Maybe in hindsight next year after I see where it all ends up.
Whelp, short version, one of my three former friends was a transphobic piece of shit pretending to be "just asking questions", and the other two fell for his sealioning gaslighting bullshit, and jumped off the cliff with him. He's probably still dragging them down into the alt-right quicksand was we speak.

I dunno, there was initial excitement for Frozen Empire, and then it just kinda fizzled and got forgotten about. I still love it. 🤷♂️ It's leaps and bounds better than 2, and people like 2 now. 🤷♂️
It's weird; these telepathic-seeming group-mind-moods will sweep through everyone but me, and there's no accounting for it. Heh, maybe it's the mood-slime. 😏

Star Trek: Voyager 30th anniversary!!
Sent back in time from (3/30/25)
5 years ago, I observed that Voyager had finally found it's moment in history due to the pandemic.
Since then, Voyager's become pretty important to the Trek galaxy.
-Tom Paris and Harry Kim were on Lower Decks, and LD also did a Voyager tribute episode onboard the ship.
-Seven Of Nine was on all 3 seasons of Picard, and became Captain of the Enterprise-G.
-Janeway, Chakotay, and Holo-Doc were in Prodigy, and PROD is so steeped in Voyager lore, it may as well be Voyager-2.
So, yeah, Voyager is the torch pass to the future generation.
Go figure.
Anyway, why this is late; I was tied up in my post-Christmas Hainish-verse and Earthsea read-a-thons.
Had no estimation how long those would take.
Well worth it though.

Happy 49th birthday to myself!
(Sent back in time from 7/31/24)
The actual day was kinda boring.
Ate cake and ice cream.
Whoopidy doo.
Other than the birthday chow, it was my usual day of fighting trolls on boards, and Trek on TV.
Got all my "get out of the house" shit done the day before.
Renewing my license, cashing some checks, getting some groceries.
Well, saw a cute girl to make into a book character.
These poor random people don't know I'm putting a cut n' paste box around them and hitting "save". 😏
Saw "Deadpool & Wolverine" the previous Friday.
Yeah, I guess that was my big present to myself.
Got some loot shopping to do, but not much excites me.
It's gonna be a slow peck, peck, peck as I find stuff I like.
I think the actor's strike threw all the movies out of whack.
Usually I have a pile of flicks to collect around this time.
Nope, everything's finally fucking coming out in the theater now.
Bummed about almost being 50.
Well...not bummed.
Just...philosophically weirded out.
Half a century.
I do feel like an old wizard who's seen a lot of shit.
Have a grey stripe in my beard, so the wizard look is coming along.
I have a good memory for the history I've been through to tell the kiddies.
And I'm not a boring storyteller like the Grandpa Simpsons out there.
No one cares where the old fucking gas station was, get to the meat of the story, you dumb coot!!
Anyway!
I know how to rewind things going on now to their prequel, and tell it well with minimum bullshit.
I got that going for me.
That haunts me.
Well, add it to my wizard trauma pile.
Well, I lost them because they wouldn't listen to my wizard wisdom.
TERFism is the 80's gay/AIDS panic in new wrapping paper.
They don't "make good points". It's all old shit on repeat.
Why don't my fellow gen-xers remember this shit?

Oh yeah, and last year, we lost Paul Reubins and Sinead O'Connor my birthday week.
Pee-Wee landed right on my friggin' birthday.
So I have that to remember forever.

Last time, I bitched about the internet howler monkeys; and now, even sites like "Honest Trailers" who used to cater to that crowd are sick of them.
Their "The Acolyte" review mocked how every single Star Wars thing since TPM is "the worst Star Wars ever that's killing the franchise".
Well, if Acolyte is the new worst thing ever, and it's set 20 years before TPM, then it's the new worst prequel.
Chronologically as well as in artistic merit.
Guess it's time to leave poor TPM alone, huh?
No? It doesn't work that way?
Because reasons?
Huh.
Yeah, Generation X just has to fucking die.
People born in '99 or later think the prequels are fine.
Oh, they like TPM least, and "Revenge Of The Sith" best, but no one's all "kill Jar-Jar!! Oh my gaaawwwwdd!! This movie raped meeee!!!!".
We're enough time out to see it really was/is just a Generation X problem.
And really only a screamy minority of my age cohort.

Yeah, 2020-2023 were fucking covid, and Margaret grief, and I just didn't wanna fucking bother.
Why was I marking time with stupid Star Wars?
Oh, right, cuz the site and "Krazyfool Show" were the year of "Phantom Menace".
So, that just seemed like the thing to do.
Nah, fuck that. That's just what was going on pop-culture wise.
May as well have gone with "The Matrix" or "The Green Mile" or "The Messenger".
As for modern Star Wars, everyone's having a donnybrook over "The Acolyte" and I just don't fucking care. You can't make me care.
So, back to Krazyfool; last time, I did "Krazyfool 2" and was going to do a whole series of prequels.
Then I cancelled the prequels in favor of "The Vengeance/Emergence Saga".
Then I took down "Emergence Saga" for being written under rage-hate, and nothing good comes of that.
Well, there was some good world-building, and some funny non-revenge stuff; but to kill the revenge stuff, it all had to go.
So!! We're here now!
