Re-watched ATC after my quadrilogy-thon cuz the 8th anniversary is Monday.
Said in my "Frozen Empire" review...
It takes HEAVY influence from the "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon.
Whereas, "Answer The Call" took direct Easter egg lifts from it, this is a brand new episode.
So, I whipped out the pen and notepad, and jotted the similarities.
Turned out to be quite a few, actually.
-Historian with contempt for rich people.
-Puking ghost
-Reciting the Ghostbusters lyrics.
-Kevin and Lars Pinfield similarities.
-ATC Possessed Mannequin. Possessed objects out the wazoo in FE.
-Scolded by the mayor.
-Proton glove similar to Lucky's and Janine's gauntlet guns.
-PKE meter going off in the presence of a freshly dead ghost (Rowan in ATC, and Egon in GBA).
-Ecto-2 bike; Ecto-C bike.
-Crossing the streams fails.
-Reversing the portal; reversing the containment unit.
-Sigourney in the mid-credits.
-MCU actors: Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, J.K. Simmons, Kumail Ali Nanjiani.
-Harold Ramis dedication.
