Star Trek: Prodigy, season 2.

Sent back in time from 8/1/24

Ditto what I said in LD season 4, and DIS season 5.

Previously with Prodigy-

...and the story arc they set out to tell from the start of season 1 is done.
Where do they go from here?
Well, we get a nice open-ended setup for that, but it's all up to Netflix now.

The storytellers are all raring to go; it's all just a game of fucking air hockey with the money people now.
Trek had that little golden age window from '92 to '00 and the platinum age from '17 to '22 where they didn't have to have heated hostage negotiations for budget and bandwidth.

Now they have to plead before "American Idol" judges again.

Being a Trekkie; it's a roller-coaster.

Slight spoilers-

So!! Anyway!! Plot!!
The whole thing was a time loop being guided along by Wesley Crusher!
Picard season 2 established he's less powerful than a Q, more powerful than Doctor Who, and we see more of that here.
And he tosses around Easter eggs that tie the whole Trek universe together.

The Prodigy kids solve the time loop, and we not only get setup of Prodigy 3, but Picard 1.
So Picard has a Wesley loop too.

The dark things that set up Picard in the season 1 flashbacks are happening, but the Prodigy kids are going to be out there bringing hope to the galaxy.

Yeah, I think I described that broadly enough not to really ruin it.
It's the finer details that matter.

What, did you think the Prodigy kids were gonna fucking die?
Come on.

So, whether this is the end, or the beginning, we don't know.
I don't know that Netflix knows.

Stay tuned for that.

Next up for these, I think, is the Section 31 movie.
See you for that.
