New logo for year 7!

From this...

...to this.

Yeah...year 6 was prettier, but I was just in the mood for a Creepshow thing, I guess.

Well, it's not carved in stone, if someone wants to send me a better one, go for it.

Previous changes. (just to show they aren't carved in stone)

Six years of Shmegalamonga!!!!!!

Well, first, let's update all the shit I talked about last time....

The Harry books turned 2.

Jade Shade and Chokecherry turned 1 year old.

I completed season 1 of Quantum Dissolve.

I finally conquered the calendar project.

The third volume of En-Mike-lopedia rolled around, and ended up being a fucking doozy, and damned near crippled my whole 2013.
I'll be scaling that back now.
I've already scaled the holidays way back.

Also....

Harry Hembock turned 25 (the quarter century mark! Also, he met JS).

Krazyfool's Den Of Delusion turned 15. (and met JS).

The Krazyfool Show turned 14.  (ditto the above)

So, that updates all that stuff, what else?

Harry Hembock: Dark Designs turned 5.

Stan Lee turned 91.

Twinkies vanished for 9 months.

Freddy vs Jason turned 10. (and is on "I love the 2000's")

The Punisher turned 10.

Winamp died (it got archived though)

Batman turned 75.

Tim Burton's Batman turned 25.

Ghostbusters turned 30.

GPKs turned 29.

Gameboy turned 25.

Windows turned 30. (and Windows 8 gargles dick)

The Boston marathon bombing turned 1 year old. (and fucked up TV for a week)

I bingewatched some popular shows.

So, for year 7, I'm gonna keep plugging away at Quantum Dissolve until it's done, blow through the dates on Calendar 2, and have an even more streamlined one for next year, aaand, yeah, that's it.
Mostly Quantum Dissolve.
Hopefully, that'll be done next time, but...who knows?
I'm not setting a deadline.

Up next, the logo for year 7.

Happy 1st birthday, Chokecherry!

A year ago today, she premiered in Quantum Dissolve chapter 15.

So, happy birthday to Jade-Shade's partner, spouse, number one fan, and Devil on his shoulder.
The series wouldn't be the same without her.
;-)

Previously-
Happy 1st birthday, Jade Shade!

Big Summer Movies Part 2. (Part 3)

Okay, so after being set back a couple weeks by "bingewatch", back on track again.
Now, on to a flick that wasn't on my plan at all....

Edge Of Tomorrow (2014)

This was supposed to be fuckin' "Godzilla", but the internet lied, and there was no more 12:10 showing, and I didn't want to go home with my tail between my legs, so I grabbed the ticket for this instead.

Until "Guardians", comes out, there ain't shit.
I'm looking at the top 10 flicks, and....keerist, it's either crap, ones I've seen, or stuff I'd just as soon rent.

Anyway, this is "Groundhog Day", meets "Starship Troopers", meets "Metroid", and I actually really fucking dug it.

Smart sci-fi, good action, some humor, not bad at all.
I personally liked it better in the character department than "Pacific Rim".
I'd recommend it.

It won't even bother you that it's Tom Cruise.
Unless you're a poser douchebag.
Don't be a poser douchebag.
Nobody likes a poser douchebag.
Nobody.

Well, I might take another stab at "Godzilla", but it feels like I've missed it.
Everything on Earth prevented me from it.
Just next week is "Guardians", and that's the one I've planned my whole summer around.
We'll see how this all sorts out.

QD: Season 1 complete!

I'm going to call distinct chapter batches "seasons".

Yeah, Stephen King does it chapters and parts, but...I already called the parts chapters so...seasons it is.

And yes, it DID come to me from binge-watching all those shows.

Anyway, you can see that added on the Jade-Shade page.

Obviously, chapter 39 will crack open season 2.
Stay tuned.

Quantum Dissolve: Chapter 31/38. (Shmegalamonga meets Dr. Herbert)

Thirty chapters later, and Mike was still alive.

Yet, the latter point didn't seem to matter to him either way anymore.
He was enjoying himself.

He did find it odd that no one was complaining about the quality of the stories though.
Usually, someone somewhere would.

"Sooner or later, someone's gotta notice", he figured.

Just then, an e-mail rolled in.

This time, from Dr. Herbert.
He was offering to supplement the JS stories with a Q&A column on science.

"Whatever, dude", Mike said at the screen with a shrug.

He e-mailed back that sure, he'd be glad to have him on board.

And so it went...

...for 8 columns, and folks just weren't into it.

Mike felt bad having to discontinue the thing.

Luckily, Doc H made it easy for him by quitting it himself.

No one seemed to notice when it quietly drifted away without incident.

Mike kept them up forever though.
You never knew, might come in handy someday....

Quantum Dissolve: Chapter 30. (Jade Shade meets Shmegalamonga)

Mike Meggison sat in his room thinking bad thoughts.
As was usual.

"Nothing I have ever done has mattered. I've tried, and tried. I've tried to help people with my insights, they don't fucking want it. I've tried enlightening them with my knowledge, they don't fucking want it. I've tried entertaining them with my art, they just don't give a shit. They. Just. Don't. Give. A shit. And that's the part that stings the worst. I hurl my heart and guts into it, and I get nothing. Maybe it is me. Maybe I just suck at the core of my being. Maybe I deserve this, I don't know. I just wish I knew what the fuck I did. I mean, fuck, if I'd robbed or raped someone, and somehow forgotten it, the last 20 fucking years of lonely misery would have paid it off by now".

He got up,  and checked e-mail.
It was a compulsion that had to be done at least every 20 minutes.
Nothing.

"Sonsofbitches", he grumbled.

Back to the bed, and staring at the ceiling.

"If my heart stopped right now, I'd be forgotten in a week or so, and it would be as if I were never born. Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe I ought to just check out".

He realized he'd had this particular conversation with himself many, many times, and that it was fruitless.

He just didn't have it in him for suicide.
Constructing the very sentence in his mind filled him with defeat, dread, and a litany of colorful self recrimination.

"I've been a failure at every single thing I cared about doing. The things the world wants to cram down my throat, oh, I can have plenty of that. A crap job, a crap house, dashed expectations, oh, yeah, they'll shovel that out with a ladle with a jolly fucking grin. All I asked in life, was to make a living off what made me happy. The things I found interesting. That was too much to ask. Fine, I don't blame the world, there was something broken inside me. I just didn't give a fuck about any of the stuff I was supposed to. But, if I'm fucking MADE this way...why was there never any slack for that? The deaf get an interpreter, the blind get a dog, what the fuck did I get? Don't I get...I dunno, a fucking monkey or something? I never even asked for the monkey, just enough respect that they stop pushing the cripple over, and demand he walk. Okay, I blame the world. Fuck these people. They're fucking awful. Every little crumb of them".

He frowned, and sighed.

"Nah, it's fucking me. I must have fucked something up somewhere".

But without the ability to self terminate, he really didn't see a way out of the cycle.
So, back into the loop he went.

He checked e-mail.
Nothing.

"Muthafuckas".
He grumbled.

More gloom.
Check e-mail.
"Cocksuckas".
More gloom.
Check e-mail.
"Fudge guzzlers".

More gloom.
Check e-mail.

E-mail!!

It was from The Jade Shade!

He wanted Mike to re-publish the Harry Hembock books in honor of JS's brother.

Mike reflected bitterly on the reception those had gotten in the larger world for 75 minutes straight.
He snapped out of it finally, shocked at how much time had passed.

"Shit, I really oughtta answer this...".
He mumbled.

He replied back that of course he would do it, and add links to his blog when he was done.

JS didn't answer back immediately.

"Sonovabitch".
Mike mumbled.

"Ah, well, I'll re-publish those anyway. At least I'll sell him a copy, and I can brag about that for awhile".

JS answered back.
He was overjoyed that Mike was going to put the books back out.
Mike assumed.
He was a little wooden over e-mail.
Reputation to maintain, he figured.

Then, a light bulb went off over his head.

"Wait, these people are fucking killers or something. I could be in deep shit just for talking to one of them. Why....I could finagle this into suicide by cop! All I'd need to do, is dig the shit just a little bit deeper, get those angry jackbooted bees in their hive swarming a little faster, put some honey on my chest in a bulls-eye, and I could kill two birds with one stone. I could go out doing something interesting, and that would be noticed, and I could get off this awful planet. Finally, this jackbooted fascist police state will do something FOR me! HOORAY!!!".

He had just the thing for that.
Mike fired off an e-mail offering to serialize JS's adventures as stories.

JS was hesitant.

Mike offered to change all the names around to protect the guilty, and avoid copyright suits.

JS was a little bit more amenable.

Mike knew he was a shitty writer, so he'd really have to lay it on thick to even get the opportunity to inevitably fuck it up.
If this were a publisher, he wouldn't even try.
Stealing their money would have left him with a guilt complex that would have chased him to the grave.

But THIS, this was perfect!
There was nothing to lose!

Either the cops would kill him, or JS and his crew would kill him when they saw what a shitty job he was doing with their legacy.

It was the perfect plan!
Mike had never had a perfect plan before.
It was exciting.
Ironically, he felt alive for the first time in a long while.

Mike reread the first e-mail.
It mentioned something about an article he'd linked to on the blog about real life superheroes in Seattle, and the graphic he'd posted of "Harry's Ex-Wife", and the role those had played in actually getting the whole Streetsweeper thing going.

He grabbed that as his crowbar.
A little elbow grease in that spot, and...

JS agreed.

Mike was ecstatic.
Jubilant even!

He lay in bed the whole rest of that night, hands behind his head, staring at the ceiling, smiling.
He couldn't wait to get started on this project.
There was so much to do.
"I'm finally going to die!".
The words were like sweet chewy candy.
A happy tear rolled down towards his ear.

Quantum Dissolve: Chapter 29.5. (The origin of Eidolon)

2000

May 15th.
Winnifred Herbert was born.

2001

"The Big City".
September 11th.
8:40 am.

Wilhelmina and Winnifred Herbert were on the observation deck of the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

Wilhelmina was on her cellphone talking to her husband, Logan, who was elsewhere in the city on business.

11:00 am.

Dr. Logan W. Herbert wandered around in a daze, coated in dust.

Amongst the chaos, he saw Phidippus-Dude, a.k.a "Phidey", sitting on the front stoop of an apartment building sobbing behind his mask, and generally being useless as a superhero.

That part would always stick out in his mind.
He didn't know why.

Logan looked up to where the towers were supposed to be, and calmly and coldly resolved, wiping away his one dust thickened tear, "okay, enough of that. That was the last straw, religion. In fact, that was the last straw for me with bullshit in general. We're not doing this anymore, you and I. It's me or you. One of us has to go".

Logan wandered some more, and 15 minutes later, stumbled upon a 1 year old baby girl in a car seat, on the doorstep of a firehouse, a note with her name and birth date on it safety pinned to her shirt.

Logan looked at her for awhile, tore off and read the note, crumpled it, picked up the car seat by its handle, and walked off with it.

"We're going home now, Winnifred", he grumbled.
Another single tear leaked out.

2005

5 year old Winnifred Herbert was introduced to her first computer.

Winnifred chose the online handle "Eidolon", because it was a fancy word for ghost, and she'd always felt like one for some reason.

2014

Eidolon introduced herself to Chokecherry, and informally became the fourth Streetsweeper.

Happy 25th anniversary, Batman (1989)!!!

Thank you for opening the door to the cinematic DC universe.
Well, RE-opening it, after "Supergirl", and "Superman: The Quest For Peace", slammed it.
...I still like "Returns", better, but...
...and "and Robin", re-slammed the door for awhile, but...y'know what I'm trying to say.

The (second) YEAR Of Hembock!

So, as I said to myself last year...

Note to self, next year, just do the "year of Hembock", on the anniversary of the first book.
That'll be good enough.

And here we are.
Second anniversary of the first book, and new anniversary of the whole series.

Previous ones.
Also, January saw the 25th anniversary of Harry Hembock the character.
And, In May, Harry finally crossed over with Jade-Shade. (27, 28, 29)

Hmm, guess I should lump together some new reflections for this one, eh?
Well, it's been 2 years as a self-published author, how'm I feeling about that?

When it was fresh and new, I was hyper about it.

Then, when the first year rolled around, I was kinda blasé, if you can believe it.
I'd had a year to be gloomy about the dropoff in sales, I guess.
The reflecting on the books brought some of the fun back, but it was rushed fun, and I didn't fully have time to enjoy it as it was going on.

Now, I'm philosophical about it, and in a pretty good place.
I can breathe easy, and go "wow, I did it, I accomplished that".

It really does feel different than the days when getting the stuff out there was an impossible dream.
I'm on the other side of the mirror, and it feels weird.

Now, I feel like wrestling down another dream/goal.
Making a living off this.
I was so wrapped up in just making this stuff exist, I didn't even let myself dare to dream that part.
Well,..plus the whole self-esteem thing.

But, I've had all this time to navel gaze, and stare at the undeniable reality that I got this far, and I think I'm ready.
Enough with letting hacks blow past me.

So, Quantum Dissolve is the one I want to be good enough to sell well, plus...I gotta come up with a viral marketing strategy for Harry Hembock.

Yep, I got my work cut out for me.
But this is the year it truly starts.
I'm excited to face it.

Happy Summer!

The calendar says so, but it's fucking BEEN summer.
Unlike spring, which was still stuck in winter, and didn't properly kick in until roundabout Arbor Day.

From a Hoth winter, to a heatwave.

Yet another damned horror doc!!

"Adjust Your Tracking".
Looks like virtually the same thing as "Rewind This!".

I hope they cover the material from a different angle, or something.
It looks like they focus more on the collectors than the history of the medium.
I hope it's different enough to be worthwhile.

I'll certainly be checking it out, at any rate.

Well, we're up to 7 of these suckers now.
This, and...

Bingewatch!!

Or, "Flicks I've watched part 31". (part 30 here)
And/or, "Literature Review #9". (part 8 here)
And/or "Bigass review #3". (part 1, and part 2 here)

All righty, promised this two weeks ago, (feels like its been longer somehow) so here we finally go.

Shows.

The West Wing (1999 - 2006)

The hugest one of these binges at seven 22 episode seasons.
Good thing it was good all the way through.

Loved it.
One of my all-time favorite shows now.
Quite possibly a masterpiece.

IMO, this show kind of demands to be binge-watched. I can't imagine having to follow all the plot-lines waiting week after week, and then suffering through commercials.

So, how does it stack up against previous favorites?
Tough call, I might even put it up there with "Breaking Bad".

Yeah, somewhere between "Breaking Bad", and "Walking Dead".

Ah, shit, where does that put "Hannibal"?
Um....hmm...
Fuck lists, let's just say it's in the top 5, and those positions shift around depending on my mood.

Anyway, I'd recommend it, but you've gotta schedule the time to get it in there, cuz it's a sprawl.

Dexter (2006 - 2013)

This was about the second longest of the binges.
Eight 12 episode seasons, so, it averages out to about half the length of "West wing".
BUT...cable episodes are longer, so....
Yeah, a bit over half.
Still...

ANYWAY...
Loved it.
Natch.
The premise is right up my alley.
Come on, a good serial killer?
It was tailor made for me. ;-)

Got a kick out of that this show picked up in time right after "West Wing", ended, so, you get to see technology go from the shitty '99 tech of CRT computers, and flip phones with no camera, and only midi ringtones, all the way up to I-phones in the span of the combined 15 years.

Also, Jimmy Smits guest starred for the whole 3rd season, so there's your bona-fide "West Wing", crossover.

Not as quite good as "Hannibal", but close enough, and there's more of it.
Strangely, this has more humor and...heart than "Hannibal".
Odd, I know, you must see to appreciate.

Game Of Thrones (2011 - present)

Yeah, I finally gave in, and got on the bandwagon, and dammit, it's as good as everyone says.

Surprisingly, this is tiny.
Only four 10 episode seasons so far.
Long episodes though.
Still, easy for you to catch up.
Hurry up already.

I've heard it called "Sopranos meets LOTR".
Fuck those people, it's better than both of them.

It doesn't even go on a list, its on its own pedestal with shit like Classic Trek, and Archie Bunker, and MASH.

Peter Dinklage is a fucking rockstar.
Goddamn.

I can't wait for the FCC to die already so TV can always be like this.
Cuz it should, it should always fucking be like this.

The Wire (2002 - 2008)

Five 12-13 episode seasons.
Even shorter than "Dexter".
But not as short as "Game Of Thrones".
Yet, this one took the longest (for me).
About 11 days.
Started it almost as long ago as "stuff coming up the pike".
Think I was somewhere in the middle of "Game Of Thrones", when I posted that.

I dunno, I just kept pausing, and taking 20 minute marker breaks to fuck around on Facebook and shit, next thing I know, it'd be 2 hours later, and I'd grumpily drag my ass back to the TV.
Rinse, repeat, for 11 days.
With no other TV.
Urgh.

Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT show.
Possibly the best cop show ever.
I wouldn't have stuck with it otherwise.
It's just very slow paced, and deliberately lacking in the phony stage-y bullshit of network cop shows.

If you watch this, and like it, and go all the way through it, the "Law & Order", shows will look like bad Saturday morning cartoons to you afterward.
You'll spit at the sight of them.

Best character?
Omar.
There isn't nearly enough of him though.
Could have done without the gay sex scenes though...
Meh, whatever.

Oddly, the early seasons have a lot of fucking (of all proclivities), then the fucking tapers off somewhere around season 4, then everyone becomes monks/nuns.
*Shrug*

Oh, and here's the crossovers.
The dude who plays Littlefinger in "Game Of Thrones", is in seasons 3-5, and in season 5, someone is watching Dexter and puts in a blatant plug for it.
So, that's all 4 of these linked together.
Little compulsion of mine....

So, those were the biggest chunk of why the blog has been so slow.

Now, the flicks...

Movies.

The Lego Movie (2014)

Just wonderful.
Loved it.
Deep down inside in the squishy bits.

Tough call between this and "Wreck-It Ralph".
Let's call it a tie.
If you loved one, you'll love the other.

Oh, and Christian and conservative groups cried about this, which made it imperative that I see it.
Having seen it, they're idiots.
But, what else is new?

Robocop (2014)

See here, here, and here.

Surprisingly good!
Don't expect it to be the Paul Verhoven one, you'll give yourself a seizure.
Just let it be what it is.
You'll be entertained.

Its got more soul than the Michael Bay Transformers franchise, I'll give it that much.

Oh, and the flesh hand thing?
Not satisfactorily answered.
Just...go with it.

Also, the dude who plays Omar in "The Wire", is in this as neo-Lewis.

Son Of Batman (2014)

So, we're 3 4ths of the way there for this year's slate.
The others being "Flashpoint Paradox", and "Justice League: War", and the final upcoming one being "Batman: Assault on Arkham".

Finally, all 5 Robins have been onscreen now.
Dick Grayson in "Batman The Movie", "Batman Forever", "Batman and Robin", and "Batman: Sub-Zero".
Jason Todd in "Under The Red Hood".
Tim Drake in "Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker".
Carrie Kelly in "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns".
And now, Damian Wayne in this one.

Anyway, plot is, Batman fucked Talia Al Ghuul 10 years prior, now she shows up with his secret bastard to take care of, and take under his wing.
Slade/Deathstroke is the looming villain they have to take on.

This one's kinda grim, possibly as much if not moreso than "Flashpoint Paradox".
Violence, death, and blatant sexual references, definitely not for little kiddies.

Damian is...kind of like Hit-Girl, but without the potty mouth, or humor.
He might be my second favorite Robin after Carrie Kelly.

Anyway, I liked this flick a lot.
Definitely one for the collection.

Ginger Snaps Trilogy (2000 - 2004)

See here.

Always been curious, finally seen 'em.
Damn, goth chick werewolves, what the fuck took me so long?

Anyway, quickie rundown.
First one, great, second one, meh, third one, barely watchable.

The first one feels like an update of that Freddy movie vibe.
Y'know, likable teens in a freaky situation.
Oughties goths instead of 80's rocker kids, but the formula still works.

Second one, carried by the charisma of the starlet, cuz you wanna see more of her character, but, outside of the high school context, a bit of the magic is gone.

Third one, where it's a period thing, the topical lingo is gone, without that, the humor is gone, and it butchers history, so you don't even have that.
It's not even a good prequel, it butchers the continuity.
Avoid that one.

Zombie (1979)

A.K.A. "Zombi 2".
There is no "Zombi 1", overseas, that was just the title for "Dawn Of The Dead".
And this wasn't intended to be a fake sequel, that was marketing too.

Anyhoo, I'd always heard about this one in the same breaths as "Night Of The Living Dead", and "Evil Dead", and there's even a  Lucio Fulci tribute in the GPK zombies cards, so, I finally caved in, and watched it.

It's actually pretty damned good.
Better than the poster suggests.
Up there with early Romero, and you got that famous eye-poking scene.
A must-see for zombie junkies.

The Passion Of Ayn Rand (1999)

You wanna see the founder of objectivism get plowed missionary, doggie style, cowgirl, and piledriver?
And make her hubby a cuckold?
Well, have I got the flick for you!!

I almost followed this up with the "Atlas Shrugged", movies, but I couldn't bring myself to it.
Even fans hate the things.
So I'm told.

Anyway, there's nothing libelous in here, this crazy bullshit all happened.
Rand's husband Frank is about the only sympathetic figure in this mess.
Best line in the flick, Franks takes a swig of whisky, and says "(of objectivism) I don't understand any of it. I never did".
Second best line, the new boyfriend of Nathaniel Branden's ex-wife says "(of "The Fountainhead", and "Atlas Shrugged") I liked them, they were nice stories. A bunch of people sitting around telling themselves how smart they are. Of course, real life doesn't work that way".

I dunno why I watched this.
Guess I was always morbidly curious about the rise and fall, but didn't want to read a book about it.

Creepshow III (2006)

I was right, "Tales From The Darkside The Movie", is Creepshow 3.

This is an abortion.
I've seen high school film projects better than this.
Troma does better than this.
The Asylum does better than this.
Youtubers do better than this.
Electronics unpacking videos are better than this.
A redneck on meth with a flip-cam could do better than this.
At least the redneck might either witness or partake in a real Darwin award happening.

Run screaming from this putrid monstrosity.

American Psycho 2 (2002)

Has no relation at all to the real "American Psycho".

Much like "Creepshow 3", to the first two.
No, exactly like that.

So, the alternate title is "All American Girl", and it's really that film, but somehow, they got the rights to use the "American Psycho", title, added some narration that mentions Patrick Bateman, and whammo.

Stars Mila Kunis before she became somebody.

Okay, you know the "Family Guy", episode where Meg goes crazy, and holds Brian hostage?
Pretty much that for an hour and a half.
Crazy-Meg: The Movie.
With a script written by a 6th grader.

I actually think I saw this back at Halloween, or maybe around Christmas, but it didn't fit in with a category, or something.
Yeah, it was after "Silent Night Deadly Night", and maybe I didn't have a category for it to go into, and the superhero thing drowned it out. I think it might have even been in the same batch as "The Hangover".

Nope, after looking those 2 up, those came together.
Man, I detested "The Hangover", so "American Psycho 2", must have been truly wretched for me to go "fuck it, I ain't even reviewing it".

Anyway, it goes perfectly with "Creepshow 3", that's why I dug it up from the memory hole.

Don't watch either of them unless you have some friends over who can gang up on 'em, and do a proper MSTing of that shit.
No, fuck it, leave nothing to chance, hire the actual Rifftrax guys to come to your house.

Books.

I Am Legend (1954)

Fucking great.
Now, a lot of people, indeed most people, say that none of the movies have lived up.
So, I had a burning curiosity to read the book finally.
As burning a curiosity as I had to track down the Re-Animator stories.

I dunno, I thought the Vincent Price film came 98% close.

None of them had the balls to do the exact book ending, but otherwise, I thought the Price one was pretty dead on.

So, yes, the book is the best incarnation so far.
Even though I though the Chuck Heston flick was a blast.

And....IT'S OVER!!!
Bingewatch is over!!!
*Collapses and sobs*

See you next time, kiddies.

Friday the 13th! (2014)

First one this year.

There were two last year (1, 2) and three the year before (1, 2, 3).
Let's see how many we can rack up this time.

Also, here's "I REDO the Jasons", yet again.

Next year, they're re-rebooting Jason, which will technically be the 13th film.
See? That didn't take long.
To reboot. To get to 13 took for-fucking-ever.

Big Summer Movies Part 2. (Part 2)

Part 1 (Winter Soldier).

Okay, I've sorted out the aforementioned jackassery (vehicle problems), and I'm back on schedule.
So, for my second summer film....

X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)

Previous X-Men reviews...
Now to this flick.

Rundown...
  • Is it "the biggest superhero movie ever"? Mmmm, yeah. Yeah, it just might be.
  • I actually thought it had more meat to it than Avengers.
  • Avengers 2 has its work cut out.
  • Definitely the best of the X-Men flicks, hands down.
  • It all built to this. This is the payoff.
  • ...until "Age Of Apocalypse".
  • Hard to go more in depth without spoiling everything...
  • Okay, put it this way....if you weren't a fan of X3, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  • You kind of HAVE to have followed the other 6 flicks (or, had a refresher marathon) to know what's going on.
