Some connections I noticed.

Found these going down Wikipedia rabbit holes late at night.
Which is how these things usually go.

Anyway! First up!

"Gate II: The Trespassers" the girlfriend in that is the mom in "Bumblebee".
Well....that makes me feel fucking old; "Gate II" feels like last year to me. *Sad sigh*
She was also Bobby Hill in "King Of The Hill" and Leila in "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust".
And her "Bumblebee" daughter is the voice of Spider-Gwen in the Mile-verse Spideys, and she's girl-Hawkeye in "Hawkeye" and as a cameo in "The Marvels".

"Dr. Giggles" is played by Larry Drake, and I described Dr. Giggles as a Batman villain without Batman. Fortuitous that, because...
Larry Drake is also Durant in "Darkman" directed by Sam Raimi, with music composed by Danny Elfman.
Danny Elfman did the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batmans.
Darkman was played by Liam Neeson who went on to be Ra's al Ghul in "Batman Begins".
Sam Raimi went on to direct the Tobey Maguire Spideys.
Tobey-Spidey pops up in "No Way Home".
NWH is directly followed by "Dr. Strange in The Multiverse of Madness" directed by Sam Raimi.
And then we loop all the way back, and Michael Keaton comes back as Batman in "The Flash".
After being in "Homecoming" the prequel to NWH.

Okay, this one needs some setup.

"Night Shift" is Ron Howard's first directed movie, and Michael Keaton's first movie.
Henry Winkler plays a neurotic sad-sack who works at a morgue.
Michael Keaton is his wacky friend who shows up to inspire him to have fun.
Shelly Long is a hooker who Winkler falls in love with.
Keaton talks Winkler into them being pimps to protect Long and her friends.
Hi-jinks ensue.
80's HBO played this a trillion times, and my family watched it addictively.

Shannen Doherty is in "Night Shift" as a little girl as a violent Girl Scout.
Except they're called Bluebirds to keep from being sued.
Doherty is later in "Heathers" as a Heather.
"Heathers" was written by the guy who went on to co-write "Batman Returns".
Doherty is in "Mallrats" with Ben Affleck, and Kevin Smith as Silent Bob parodying Keaton-Batman.

Henry Winkler is in "Black Adam" as the father of Atom Smasher.

In the same universe/multiverse, Keaton-Batman comes back in "The Flash".
And Ben Affleck is Snyder-verse Batman.
And Nick Cage pops up as Kevin Smith's Superman.

So!! Keaton, Winkler, Doherty, now Shelly Long just needs to come out of retirement, and do a DC movie.

And, that's all that, I guess.

I didn't know until very recently that the reason the "Heathers" director has to spend so much time talking about "Heathers" is that two years later he was responsible for "Hudson Hawk," one of those huge budget flops that everyone hates so much that it never actually develops any kind of reactionary cult following.

You don't have to waste any time doing "connections," for "Hudson Hawk," I don't think anyone will hold that against you.

Oh, he did Hudson Hawk, and Ford Fairlane.
Boy, screenwriting sure has bulletproof job security.
You don't see actors bouncing back that easily.
Oh, let's face it, actresses.
Actresses go to movie jail for not sucking the right dicks.
Actors can beat their wives, and come back.
Like Mel Gibson.
