"Hawkeye" review.

A day after the finale.

I just slacked.

I was having doldrums.

Anyhoo...

Previously with this franchise-

Non-spoiler review.

Eh, s'alright, about on the level of Falcon & Winter Soldier.

But cuter, and without the heavy politics.

Kate was great, but we knew she was good from True Grit, Bumblebee, and Spider-verse.

Some tear-jerky stuff at the very end, cuz Marvel likes to do that.

My ranking for it all so far..

-Falcon

With Hawkeye and Falcon being about tied.

Spoiler review.

-The Cap musical!! *

-Yelena from Black Widow was a nice addition. **

-D'Onofrio Kingpin was great as usual, and he just officially canonized the Netflix-verse.

*So, here's the deal with the Cap musical.

Stan Lee tried all through the 80's to get an actual Cap musical off the ground.

There were audition ads for it in the comics.

Stan Lee dreamed of this thing.

He thought it would show up the Tim Burton Batman movie.

Stan was a weird little guy.

Anyway, it happening in Hawkeye was Stan's weird little dream coming true.

It was a sweet little deep cut for X-er age Marvel fans.

**But we knew she'd show up cuz of the Black Widow after credits pointing her in Hawkeye's direction.

So!! That's all the Marvel shows we were promised back in 2019!!

Now the new batch with She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ironheart, Ms Marvel, Armor Wars, etc, etc, etc.

And I have to collect Shang-Chi and Eternals on blu-ray.
