Leonard Nimoy (1931 - 2015)
Dammit.
Unlike Robin Williams, I kinda saw this one coming, but even so, dammit, I wasn't ready. :-(
Well...no filmography list necessary, he was Leonard fucking Nimoy.
You know what he did.

The shit on my walls (Part 13).
Part 12.
Okay, NOW it's perfect.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)
The official poster finally came out today.
I was going to let it be a picture-less link in the all-purpose superhero thread, but then I was like "fuck it, that's wall-worthy!".
So, up it went.
And here we are.

All-purpose horror franchise update thread.
Companion to the all-purpose superhero/sci-fi thread.
Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)
Updated from "Okay, Evil Dead fans, here's where we are. (update)".
From here.
Okay, so the title is "ASH VS. EVIL DEAD", the network is Starz, it'll be 10 half hour episodes, and it'll come out sometime next year.
And next year is now, so sometime this summer.
Here's the official blurb from Starz.
“Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its ‘Evil’ grip.”
And his sidekicks will be Ray Santiago (Touch) and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas).
No Mia.
Unless they squeeze in a cameo.
Personally, I'd have her mending in a hospital bed.
The pic above traces back as fanart, but it's damned good fanart.
Hannibal season 3 (2015)
(No pic yet)
Richard Armitage will be Dollarhyde/The Tooth Fairy.
Rutina Wesley will play Reba McClane (the blind girl from Manhunter/Red Dragon).
Gillian Anderson will be back in a bigger capacity than last season.
Joe Anderson will replace Michael Pitt as Mason Verger.
And, Raul Esparaza will be back as Chilton (spoiler, he didn't die).
They're gonna cram "Hannibal Rising", a lot of "Hannibal", and seemingly all of "Red Dragon", into this one.
It's been pushed up to July.
They're going to treat the long break as real time, and cover what happened to the characters in that year gap.
Episodes 1-3 will show what happened to Hannibal, and then episode 4 will finally show what happened to the rest of the cast right after the cliffhanger.
Friday The 13th (the re-remake) (2015)
(Ditto Hannibal)
It's not going to be found footage (hooray!), and it'll deal with how Jason keeps coming back.
(Um, the Necronomicon, duh!)
There, I'll update in comments from here on out.

All-purpose Marvel/DC/Star Wars/Ghostbusters/etc update thread.
I can't keep up with it all, and it's devouring the blog trying.
So, I'll just throw up this placeholder, and add shit in the comments, and you can check comments in the sidebar.
Then, come Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'll boil all the news down with pretty graphics per usual.
Okay, now for the updates I've slacked on....
Marvel
Spidey is on board the MCU.
The Deadpool movie is getting going, and it's going to have Angel Dust, and Colossus.
Wolverine 3 is going to have Patrick Stewart.
"Avengers: Age Of Ultron", had a trailer.
Ant-Man had a trailer.
Fantastic Four had a trailer.
Daredevil had a trailer.
Rachel Taylor will play Hellcat on Jessica Jones.
David Tennant will be The Purple Man on Jessica Jones.
Kickass 3 is indeed dead, but Matthew Vaughn wants a Hit-Girl prequel.
DC
Tom Hardy dropped out of Suicide Squad, to be replaced by Joe Kinneman who played Murphy/Robocop in the remake.
The lineup for "Justice League: Dark", will be Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, and Jason Blood/Etrigan.
No Swamp Thing. :-(
No casting yet.
Legion Of Superheroes might not be dead.
Joker is going to be on Gotham the end of this season.
Constantine likely won't be renewed for another season on NBC, but they're thinking of giving it to SyFy.
Brandon Routh's Atom costume has been shown off.
Izombie had a first commercial.
Melissa Benoist is Supergirl.
Ghostbusters
The cast will be Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
Star Trek
Roberto Orci has been kicked out of the director chair for Star Trek 3, and replaced with Justin Lin (Fast & Furious series), and they scrapped the script by that crazy Mormon (whose name I refused to bother to remember), and its now being co-written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.
Star Wars
Top secret as Fort Knox.
I'll do a special post when the poster and/or longer trailer come out though.

Marvel Cinematic Universe news (part 6).
Part 5.
Holy fucking shit, they did it!!!!!!
Yep, this is also the sequel to "Sony-Spidey 4", and "I'll believe it when I see it".
I've done seen it. Spidey is joining the MCU, it's happening.
Spidey will pop up first in an unspecified Marvel film (I'm thinking Civil War), then Marvel and Sony will co-produce an MCU linked Spidey reboot.
Adding Spidey to the Marvel timeline means "Thor: Ragnarok", gets bumped down to November 3rd 2017, "Black Panther", gets bumped down to July 6th 2018, "Captain Marvel", gets bumped to November 2nd 2018, and "Inhumans", gets bumped to July 12th 2019.
"Avengers: Infinity War", remains set.
And, one assumes Spidey will be there.
Stay tuned for the casting of the new Spidey.

The shit on my walls (Part 12).
Part 11.
The last update felt...aaalmost perfect, but it needed something else, and something else had to go...
So, here's more fine tuning.
American Mary (2013)
See here, here, and here.
Replaces "Sin City", with Gail.
I mean, I love Rosario Dawson, but staring at those garish Nazi colors knowing Frank Miller's leanings started grating at my eyes.
Then, I finally caved in, and binge watched all of Hannibal season 2, and Katharine Isabelle popped up as Margot Verger, and the lightbulb went up over my head.
She's in "Freddy vs Jason", the death of her character actually instigates the fight, making her part of horror history for that alone, and the Hannibal show loops back to "Manhunter", it's kismet.
Also, she's a cutie.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
See here, here, here, and here.
Replaces "Dark Knight Returns".
"The Dark Knight", is the better movie, but "Rises", has the better poster.
And connections wise, Gary Oldman was in "Hannibal", which tracks back to "Manhunter".
And, of course...
Another grid update.
See just last time for the last one.
Ahhh, better.

There Is No Jesse updates (part 2)
Part 1.
Good news!
They're closing in on the finish line!
I dug up a months old podcast with Mark Patton in it, and he updated that they had 5 months left of shooting to go, and that was 5 months ago.
Then, today, his Facebook stream just updated that next weekend, there's a big NOES 2 to-do with all of the cast at Shock Pop Comicon, and they're going to film that, then they're going to New York to edit.
So, there you go, it's finally just about done!
Hooray!!
Now, as always, the list...
- That Guy Dick Miller
- Why Horror?
- Electric Boogaloo.
- Unearthed & Untold.
- Invaluable.
- Leviathan.
- The Unbelievers.
- Jodorowsky's Dune.
- Women Aren't Funny.
- Atari: Game Over.
- The Death of "Superman Lives", what happened?
- Doomed!
And the books...
- As You Wish.
- Phantasm Exhumed.
- You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry.

The shit on my walls (Part 11).
Part 10.
Fine tuning the big grid again...
Manhunter (1986)
See here, here, and here.
Replaces Goonies.
Getting my Hannibal season 2 DVDs has given me Hannibal fever, and I gotta have something Hannibal up there.
I love "Manhunter", and it started it all (in cinema), so, yhep, had to be that one.
Behind The Mask:
The Rise Of Leslie Vernon (2006)
See here, and here.
Replaces "Some Guy Who Kills People".
Two reasons.
One, got sick of looking at "Some Guy...".
Two, when I'm bored, or idea-stuck, I play a connections, game with the posters, and to get "Some Guy...", to go with anything, I have to link the fat guy from "Leslie Vernon", who's in "Some Guy...", to Robert Englund who's also in "Leslie Vernon".
Finally, I'm like "wait, 'Some Guy...', is basically a stand-in for 'Leslie Vernon', and I like 'Leslie', better, so why isn't 'Leslie', up there?
So, I finally got off my lazy ass, and did it.
There, better.
X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)
See here, here, and here.
Takes over "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"'s slot, bumps "Girl", over a notch , which replaces "George Carlin: Jammin' In New York".
And, Brian Cox, who played the original Hannibal in "Manhunter", played Stryker in "X2", and he's shown in a flashback when Wolverine sees young Stryker in "Future Past".
And, Ellen Page is in "Future Past", and "Super", and "Hard Candy".
And, "Future Past", is a sequel to "First Class", which has Kevin Bacon, who was in "Super", and "Friday The 13th", which is the first prequel to "Freddy vs. Jason".
Aaand, "Future Past", has Quicksilver, who's also going to be in "Avengers: Age Of Ultron", which is the sequel to "The Avengers".
AAAAND, "Super", is directed by James Gun, who also did "Guardians Of the Galaxy".
Finally, Quicksilver in "Future Past", and Quicksilver in "Age Of Ultron", where both in "Kick-Ass".
So...yeah, the grid flows better now.
Lastly...
Upgrade of grid #1.
See here for the original, and here and here for the other upgrades.
That's it until next time.
Retro adding this, and part 10 to En-Mike-lopedia 4.

My Christmas Loot: Part 3, (revisited)
Hannibal: Season 2 (2014)
Ahhhh, FINALLY, it got here! Arrived this Saturday.
Kee-rist.
So, I saw 'em all on TV, but I collect 'em for the bonuses, and I got through all of those Sunday.
I'll binge-watch the episodes again all in order some other time.
THEEEERE that's what my tormented soul was missing.
Now, I feel better.
Until season 3 comes, and I have to pine away for that. :P
So, that's it.
