A.K.A Gorham in review part 2.
Whelp, last time, I concluded that most of humanity is completely fucking insane, and this situation is literally and joyously ridiculous.
It occurred to me not moments after finishing that rant up, that this perspective takes me full circle back around to Laverdiere's, and those MAD magazines of the 80's.
In fact, this is the issue that started it all off.
Yhep, between this, and Swamp Thing, this is where Dickynoo...well, wasn't born, but, went through the pupal stage.
MAD planted the seeds, and taught me the beginnings of how to think critically.
Know who had an identical experience?
Roger Ebert.
No wonder he was always the only film critic I could ever stand.
We were simpatico.
And no wonder he was the inspiration for the phase I went through in high school of wanting to be a film critic.
And no wonder my mind kept subliminally pulling me back to Gorham flashbacks until I had to go back there.
Wonder what future entries will churn up.
But, whatever the case, I think this is enough to hammer home, and thus finish off the thesis that the creative/deductive mind can solve all these problems in a way fear and bullshit never will.
I mean, after much straining, I found the answer to my existential confusions in a grocery store parking lot.
Right there where I left 'em.
Always the last place you look.
Funny thing, the mind.
But like I said, it does indeed contain its own anti-virus software.
Just gotta let it run.
