The fan theories were right, she's a hologram.
The Emergency Training Hologram to be exact.
I thought of this from the very start when I heard Mulgrew was cast...
Will she be a meat-human, or an immortal hologram?
Cuz if she's meat, there goes my theory that this is set post-Federation.
Unless she pulls some kind of Scotty-in-the-transporter trick to go to the future.
And where she's gonna be in animated form, is she gonna be her younger self from right after Voyager?
Or realistically aged to how she is now?
A lot of this goes to where in the timeline this is.
Hologram, and younger self.
AND, still no word on timeline, setting, character names, or voice cast.
Or release date.
Those might have been nice.
Oh, and here she is with the rest of the crew.
So, these alien kids find the ship, and boot up Janeway, so there's no meat humans on board.
What happens to the Starfleet crew?
Killed? Kidnapped? What?
Stay tuned for those details.
Was hoping we'd get them today, but nope, they're gonna release this thing in thin trickles.

2383, and the Delta Quadrant.
So, that's 3 years after season 1 Lower Decks, and 16 years before season 1 Picard.
And, just about during the prequel flashbacks in Picard.
