Timothy 1:4
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies
Whelp, that pretty much does in most of the Bible, and so much for the genealogies in Genesis 10, Chronicles 1-9, and Matthew 1.
Job 7:9
As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.
Dead is dead.
So much for afterlife.
Psalms 88:10
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee?
Ditto.
Well, there you go.
Even The Bible says The Bible is bullshit.
Thank God for that. ;)
I mean, who knows, someone might've taken that stuff too seriously, and all sorts of awful things might have happened.

2 Kings 2:23
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. 25 And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.
I love that one - he has just got the lord to massacre a load of kids and oh by the way went off for a short jolly around Mount Carmel after that before stopping back off at Samaria!
Plus it carries the same sort of message as my favourite Shakespeare stage direction
Exit pursued by a bear
Classic!
