Star Wars future movies info-graphic two.

Previously with Star Wars...

Yeah, I know, I haven't finished evolving the original one with the movies we've got lined up until 2020, but it's never too early to get prepared for the second batch.

Rumor is, the Boba-Fett movie still isn't off the table, and the other ones they're considering for the anthology interquels are Yoda, and Jabba.

When this whole thing started, Han, Obi-Wan, and "Death Star plans heist", were rumored, and they're all coming true, so I believe it.

So, tadaa, there's that lineup.

I'm getting that ready, because I don't think we'll have to wait all the way until 2020 until we start to hear word on these.

Forget Yoda and Jabba. These characters are (to me) interesting only in small doses.

A Boba Fett movie should be done like The Fugitive, where the main character is being hunted by Boba Fett. Fett would be like the Tommy Lee Jones character: the dogged pursuer.

Bring on Obi-Wan!

A Darth Plageis/young Palpatine movie might be interesting, too.

Seconded on Obi-Wan and Palpatine.

Boba-Fett, I'd either do it your way, or do 3-4 anthology stories of how he racked up each of his trophies (that braid on his shoulder, those Wookie scalps, etc).

Yoda and Jabba I'm not THRILLED about, but I like the challenge of trying to get them to work.
Yoda...we've seen enough of old Yoda as a badass in the prequels.
We don't need that rehashed.
I'd wind it way back to him young, as a little warrior like Link from Zelda.
I've seen awesome fanart with him without wrinkles, and with long hair in the back.
Kind of an Elfquest thing going on.
Have the Jedha temple (from Rogue One) still standing.
Have him learn the lessons he teaches Luke in ESB, but the hard way.
THEN, use the Jedha temple in Yoda-movie as the gateway to go further back to Old Republic, then you can do anything.

Jabba, I already said that at WF, I'd go "Breaking Bad", I'd have young skinny Jabba be the Han Solo of his day, but he took the wrong path.
Maybe even have Tatooine start out as a lush planet, but he ran it into the ground, and it reflects his corruption.
How old is Jabba? Do we know ?
You might be able to make that span a couple centuries.

Another way to do Boba Fett that would be pretty cool...

Have Boba Fett lose his armor and be chased by other bounty hunters. Boba Fett IS the fugitive! You know, a "the hunter becomes the hunted" sorta thing.

But, really, why does a Star Wars interquel have to revolve around a character or situation we already know about?

Why not make a movie about the FIRST Jedi? Or the founding of the Republic? Or the creation of hyperspace travel? Or the creation of the first light saber? Or some standalone adventure set in the same universe, but somewhere far from the Senate/Jedi/Rebellion/etc.

Or, if they want to do a Godfather-esque rise of Jabba the Hutt, they should find a HUMAN character to be the focal point of that story. If you make it like Goodfellas, Jabba the Hutt can be a mafia chieftain who's making his move for the big time, but then you have a Henry Hill-like character who gets caught up in it.

There's literally a whole universe of things they could do, and I hope they don't go for the most obvious things. I don't want a YOUNG YODA movie any more than I want a LEGEND OF AUNT BERU or DENGAR'S BIG SCORE film.

Comes down to, Disney is scared to challenge the general audience.
What I think they'll do, is gradually build the world out.
Stick to familiar characters, but plant new characters in their movies, then spin those characters off, and plant more characters in their movies, etc, etc, until FINALLY the general audience are mutated into full blown Star Wars geeks that can keep up like the book and comic readers do.

Think of it, Marvel was 9 movies in before they finally said "fuck it", and tried Guardians.
