Marvel/DC multiverse rumors.

I like where this is all going...

Okay, first Marvel...

Okay, this is rumor, but it's made plausible by the Jamie Foxx as Electro thing (which IS confirmed).

Rumor is, they're in heavy talks to get back Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield.
And that they're also trying to get Kirsten Dunst, and Dane DeHann.
(Clearly no one wants to touch James Franco with a 10 foot pole)

If true, it looks like they're going for a live-action "Into The Spider-Verse".

The makers of "Spider-verse", wanted to include a scene with animated versions of McGuire, Garfield, and Holland, and Holland said he even did voice work for it, but the Sony suits put the kybosh on the scene.
This could be why, they had other plans for the idea.

Now, this part isn't rumor, the MCU guest star/mentor figure for Spidey 3 will be...

Doctor Strange does dimension travel, so he'd be the perfect plot mechanism if they're gonna do Spider-verse.

Doctor Strange 2 is going to be "Multiverse Of Madness", directed by Sam Raimi and I have a sneaking suspicion that that one's going to play with all the multiverse stuff MCU has access to besides Sony.

So, that means Spidey 3 will be Multiverse of Madness 1.5.

So, Strange 2, and Spidey-3 will be Marvel's "Crisis On Infinite Earths".
If the rumors are true of course.
But with the puzzle pieces we've got, they seem pretty damned plausible.

Oh! Almost forgot one of the rumors for "Multiverse", is they want Tom Cuise to play an alternate version of Iron Man.
Cruise was actually up for the role before Marvel got the rights back.

Speaking of Crisis, on to DC.....

The rumor is, they're trying to get Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Nick Cage as the Superman of Michael Keaton's Earth.

Gen-X old farts like me may know that they tried to do a movie with Cage as Supes in the 90's directed by Tim Burton.

It would have been too fucking weird for the real world, but now as an Elseworld?
They can totally fucking do it now!
I SO hope this happens.

With Cage-Supes, and Cruise-Stark, we'd have some "movies that almost were", nostalgia in both universes.

With both Marvel and DC re-absorbing their back-catalogs, I can't help but wonder if this may build up to a DC vs Marvel someday.

Here's hoping!

Stay tuned!
