Happy 5th birthday, Jade Shade!
Previous years.
Since I want this to be the last bonus feature for the book...
Hahah!! That didn't work out!!
Anyhoo, here we are back to January 14th.
Now I can look back at it all properly.
From seeing the mask at the grocery store, to wrapping the whole thing up last year, and being free of the monkey on my back.
It was a journey, and I'm glad I went on it.
As I mentioned in the 29th Harry anniversary, I ended up taking a year break, and not 100% of my own choosing.
But, I'm glad I did that now too, to clean my head out.
Now, I not only have the next book idea lined up that I mentioned on New Year's, but a new Harry story popped into my head yesterday that'll make the JS/Harry hybrid compilation better, and feel more complete and resolved.
It'll be a final episode of Harry, and will come out on the 30th anniversary.
THEN the book will be finished, and THEN I'll compile it.
Whether I'll start work on the new book before or after that, I don't yet know.
My muse is slow and stubborn, but it always delivers in the end.
It'll all reveal itself to me.
I'll get there.
I repeat last year's message.
Books are on their way.
Stay tuned.

Happy 29th birthday, Harry Hembock!
Previous birthdays.
Stuff that happened after the 28th.
- The (fifth) YEAR Of Hembock!
- Happy 9th anniversary, Harry Hembock: Dark Designs!
- Happy 12th anniversary, "Nobody Loves Harry Hembock"
Anyhoo, this'll be the last Harry bonus feature until the book.
Haha!! Wrooonng-guh!!
Well, like I said on New Year's, I slacked off due to existential crisis.
Details in there.
It'll be in the book too.
If I ever build the thing.
I technically missed this day too, but Google's midnight is 3 am, so I've got a bit before the rollover to tomorrow, and have to add a "belated".
Hmm, y'know, I think I'll wait 'til next year to compile the book, then I'll do the big 30th anniversary thing, and I'll get to include that too.
Yeah, that's the way to go.
"Anything that let's you slack off, huh, Mike?".
YEP!!! PRETTY MUCH!!!
:-D
Anyhoo, happy year-before-the-big-3-0, Harry!!
When I started the blog, you were old enough to drink, now you're old enough for a mortgage, and an SUV!
Okay, NOW I feel old.
When your high school cartoon character is old enough to be a dad, time to say "ouch!".
Anyhoo, see you next year for the big one!

Christmas loot 6, update!
Last time.
Ahh, finally!
The Real Ghostbusters (1986-1991)
Previously...
The good news-
I've got 120 episodes of the show.
The bad news-
They stripped out the video commentaries on every episode, and the documentaries where they talk to cast and creators. The 15 minute episodes are gone, only the 30 minutes ones are there. All the bonus goodies from the Time/Life set are purged. It's as no-frills as you can get. Even the commercial bumpers and title cards are gutted to make space.
The good news that balances the bad news-
The opening and closing themes are still there.
The menus are simple, snappy, and responsive.
Scene skip takes me just past the theme if I get sick of it.
All my favorites are still here.
And the standalone Slimer episodes from "Slimer And The Real Ghostbusters", episodes are gone, and I don't miss that baby-ish junk at all.
Also, a lot of the bonus stuff I can get back with Youtube, and indeed have already collected.
Nifty observation-
There's no longer any doubt in my mind Katie Dippold binged the first couple seasons of RGB when she wrote "Answer The Call". Once you refresh your memory, there's RGB Easter eggs all over ATC.
That just makes me love both things even more!!
Now I'm even MORE excited for "Crossing Over".
Right now, I'm 5 disks in, with 5 to go.
I'm in the weird position of having STARVED for years for Ghostbusters content, to now having so MUCH of it, I have to stop to take breaks to prevent burnout.
It's a fun and blissful problem to have!
Ghostbusters 101:
Everyone Answers The Call. (2017)
See here for the issue/arc reviews.
Yep, nabbed the graphic novel.
Got it as a physical object now.
And it has that quick scene where Holtzmann literally pokes her head into the RGB universe, so the two things directly connect!!
Had to carve out a special space on my bookshelf for Ghostbusters now.
What with this, Ectomobile manual, "Tobin's Spirit Guide", "Ghosts From Our Past", and "Get Real", having sprouted into a sizable stack, and the graphic novels for "ATC: What Dreams May Come", and "Crossing Over", and who knows what else coming up the pike.
And there, that's the last residue of Christmas.
I'll retro-link this back to the Christmas loot post.

No more calendar day.
Nope, not doing these.
I'm done.
I've got search function to find things with.
And as for reminding myself what thingies to post on what days, I'll just use notepad.
Anyhoo, everything from 2008 to 2017 can be found in archives.
THE END.
