Disney/Fox Part 1.35: Dismantled Marvel viewing order.

Yeah, what the Hell, let's do it this way too....

So, last time, I showed how to navigate the Marvel behemoth in chronological and release order.
I think those are the best ways for newbies and novices to tackle it.

But, for repeat viewings, you can select out your favorite characters, and/or individual movies, and here's how to keep track of that.....

Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man

Marc Webb/Andrew Garfield Spider-Man

This will never be a trilogy.
Unless you want to count "No Way Home" as Andrew's third one.

Jon Watts/Tom Holland Spider-Man/Home Trilogy

Venom-verse/SSU

Next up for these after Morbius is Kraven.
I haven't kept up on the casting of Kraven in my blogging.
Maybe I should? Let me know.

Classic X-Men

X2 is the "Empire Strikes Back" of this trilogy.

Wolverine

Personally, I'd only bother with "Logan" but, you do you.

X-Men prequels/First Class quadrilogy

Dark Phoenix was supposed to be a two-parter, then there would have been some third thing that would have made it two trilogies.
But, the Disney buy-out put the kybosh on that.
Dark Phoenix's ending feels rushed because they had to mutilate it into one movie.
They did an okay job, all things considered.

Deadpool

Disney keeps promising we'll get part 3, making this a trilogy.
Given hints about a certain after-credits of a certain upcoming movie, I think we're gonna see it.

Iron Man

The character that started this whole MCU thing off.
Lot of snarky critics call "Homecoming" Iron Man 4.
Hey, if you want to head-canon that, I can't stop you.

Thor

Soon to be a quadrilogy with "Thor: Love And Thunder".

Captain America

One of the all time great superhero trilogies, and one of the all time great trilogies period.
Ranted about that long-form here.
Although, this might become a quadrilogy with Falcon as new-Cap.

Guardians Of The Galaxy

Soon to be a trilogy with "Vol. 3".

Ant-Man

Soon to be a trilogy with "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania".

Doctor Strange

Pretty strong indications we're getting a part 3.
I've got a good feeling this will become another of the great trilogies.

The Avengers

Strong rumors that Avengers 5 will be "Secret Wars".
Going strictly by who's in the comic, that would unite Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Spidey, Venom, and Monica Rambeau/Photon.
Given that we're getting rebooted Fantastic Four, and Mutants, and Monica Rambeau is already on the game board, why make Avengers 5 anything BUT "Secret Wars"?
That'd be like if they made Cap 3 "Serpent Society" instead of "Civil War".

Leftover one-shots

This category is going to whittle down to three eventually.

New Mutants will never have a sequel because of the Fox buyout.
And that it bombed at the box-office.

Hulk will never have a direct sequel because of the legal bullshit with Universal.

Black Widow will never have a sequel, because, well....she's goddamned dead.
Hey, you should have seen "Endgame" by now.
You had 3 years.

All the rest of these are getting a minimum of one sequel, and in the case of "Spider-Verse" they have a trilogy planned out.
I'm calling the Spider-Verse-verse the Miles-verse.
Unless/until it gets absorbed into the Venom-verse.
Which, I think it will.

So, there you go.
Enjoy.

As usual, I'll retro-link this in the big Marvel/Fox crossovers thingie.
