Halloween 2025!

Well, in real-world horror, the pumpkin-headed despot got re-elected by the morons of America.
Because of course he was, and of course they did.
I could feel it in the air that it was going to happen.
You can check last year, the gloom I had going.
Every year I live will be a miracle, since Carrot Caligula has declared liberals, atheists, anti-racists, anti-pedos (release the files!!), and LGBT allies terrorists.

Y'know, because that's what Jesus would want. 🙄🤦‍♂️

Anyway! Like I said last time, I'm gonna do this for as long as I can, and not change my tone.
The alternative is kissing the ring, and no thanks to that bullshit.

All the horror stuff from this year...

-The weird-fiction-verse was the big thing from summer 'til now, and for the foreseeable near future.
-My mother passed, 😩 and I talked about our shared fandoms. 🙂😔💔
-The Soska Sisters outed themselves as right-wing ghouls, rather than the fun Halloween kind of ghoul.
-Inspired by that, I tore my past sorta-libertarian self to shreds. Which is kind of horror.
-I threw in the towel on 80's franchise horror.  It has yet to re-spark my interest.
-However! The Toxic Avenger reboot is out, but I dunno if I'm gonna be able to get out to see it.
I wanna though. Update: Nope, missed it.

And finally, song time!

And, as always...

Merry Deathmas!
And a happy new candy! :-D

Darth Cheeto, Cheeto Benito, Fanta Menace, Mango Mussolini, Velveeta Voldemort, Papaya Palpatine, Carrot Caligula, Sunkist Stalin, Tangerine Temujin, Nectarine Nero (I might have made those last two up myself--I considered "Tamerlane" before I realized Americans don't know who he is), Apricot Adolf

Imagine what Fox News would be saying if Biden destroyed part of the white house.

All I know about Lovecraft Country or any of this other stuff you're talking about is that Jonathan Majors apparently got cancelled. I haven't seen any real Lovecraft based movies aside from "Re-Animator" (does that really count, anyway?) but I did consider watching that fake black and white version of "Call Of Chthulhu" that came out some years ago...

I liked Nectarine Nero and Apricot Adolf.
Yeah, if Biden started wrecking the White House, it would have been January 6 part 2.

If you like "Re-Animator" check out "From Beyond". It has Jeffrey Combs as a different character, it follows a similar theme of stimulating the brain to see other dimensions, and the gore-puppets are bonkers. Oh! I forgot to mention Combs has a bit part in the Batman/Lovecraft movie!

Okay, so there's the sequence of events. I'm going to finish off Machen, then I'm gonna blog the joint Machen/Rabinowitz review, then I'm gonna wipe my harddrive, install Linux, put all my stuff back in from backups, and kiss Windows goodbye. If I come back after the Machen post, I pulled it off. If not...well... Microsoft wants me to get Windows 11, but my system can't handle it, but there's nothing art all wrong with with this fucking computer. 32 years of non-stop brand loyalty to those pricks got me an E.T. sized middle finger. So, fuck them.

Similar theme to "Pan" I meant.

It's been such a long time since the 1990s that I have explain to younger people that Bill Gates was hated in the 90s sort of like how Zuckerberg is hated now, everyone hates him but everyone uses his product. People are like "Netscape? Never heard of it"

Best of luck!

I saw Combs in Stuart Gordon's "Pit And The Pendulum," but all I'm really going to remember that for is that the blood in it looked like red finger paint, that Tom Towles gets hit by the "pendulum," and Lance Henriksen gives one of the four or five worst performances I've ever seen by an actor who was good in other stuff.
