Yep, Sony's finally thrown in the towel.
SSU/Venom-verse was...
-Venom: The Last Dance (upcoming)
-Kraven The Hunter (upcoming)
I called it...
My guess is, that after Venom 3, they'll abandon Venom-verse, and look for ways to keep Miles-verse going with spinoffs.
They may even absorb the Venom-verse into the Miles-verse.
They already have a Miles related mini short out as a sort of commercial for part 3, and they want a live-action Spider-Man Noir show with Nick Cage playing him for real.
So, stay tuned for how all that plays out.
I mean, we haven't seen yet if they're going to channel those characters back into something, or let them rot, but they'd be idiots if they didn't pull a "Deadpool & Wolverine" and bring them back for one last go in something.
But yeah, they are still going ahead with a Spidey 4 & 5 with Tom Holland, and the third Miles Morales, and the live-action Nic Cage Spider-Man Noir series.
So Sony isn't giving up on Spidey, just their ill-planned villain universe.
A shame, it could have worked. It wasn't allowed to work. It was practically sabotaged.
Ah, well.
