Finally!! Fucking finally!!!!

They finally did it!!
Marvel's re-assembled all its pieces!!!

Disney is buying big chunks of the Fox pie, including Fox studios, the Fox network, FX, FXX, 30% shares in Hulu (making them majority shareholders), NatGeo, and...some other foreign channels I don't care about.

Fox as a company will still exist, and have Fox News, Fox sports...and all that right-wing redneck crap I don't care about.

What MATTERS, is Disney/Marvel will finally get back X-Men, and Fantastic Four!!!!!

Fuck, I never thought this would happen, but then, I never thought the Marvel/Sony deal to get Spider-Man into the MCU would happen, and look how that turned out!!!

Anyhoo, here's what's happened...

The two big bidders for Fox were Disney and Comcast.

Even if Comcast had gotten Fox, Disney/Marvel would have still gotten those X-Men/FF rights back, because those license agreements were/are non-transferable, meaning Comcast couldn't have them, meaning they'd revert back to Disney/Marvel anyway.

As tasty as it would be for Marvel to have all their characters back home, that would just be frosting, Disney wanted/wants that whole Fox cake, because they'll own every property they've ever made going back to the beginning of cinema, and with that, they can have a giant library to help launch their streaming service to compete with Netflix.
Not just to stream, and re-release on disk, and play on basic cable, but to turn into TV shows and cartoons forever and ever.

Netflix is going to devour the whole world, and Disney doesn't want to go down without a fight, they want to be Pepsi to Netflix's Coke.

Aaaaanyhooo Comcast JUST right now today dropped out of the race.
Disney is totally going to get Fox.
It's a forgone conclusion, they just have to sort out details.
Announcement could come any day now.
But, I'm sick of waiting.
I'm calling it right now.
Like election results.

Comcast made their concession speech, but Disney is taking forever to give their victory speech, and I suspect Marvel will take even longer to lay out what this means for MCU.

Will the Brian Singer X-Men verse continue?
If so, for how long?

Will R rated Deadpool movies continue?
If so, for how long?

Will Disney make R rated Marvel films under another brand, like Touchstone?

Will the X-Men all be rebooted and recasted, like Spider-Man was?

Will Deadpool be immune to the reboot, and make a joke about it?

Will Phase 4 be a long arc involving Fantastic Four?

Will FF be rebooted?
(They'd better be!)

Will we be slave to Disney's planned slate, and we'll get less movies, or will all the Fox employees get to double up on production?
Y'know, like how Sony technically produced "Spider-Man: Homecoming"?

Will the Fox logo and fanfare still be a thing?
(I bet not)

How soon can we expect the inevitable crossovers?

What if anything will the crossover flicks bump out?
OR, will the characters be dropped into already slated flicks, like Spidey into "Civil War", and "Infinity war"?

So many questions....

I'll update this story as it develops further.

But for right now, YAAAAAAAYY!!!! FUCKING YAAAYYYY!!!!!!
