Okay, back around to these.
Superheroes Four: Part 1, DC.
All right, so where did we leave off last year?
*Turns back the pages and skims*
Okay, Suicide Squad had just been casted.
We'd seen the first pics of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman from "Dawn Of Justice".
DC laid down their overall release slate.
Then, I updated with "All-purpose Marvel/DC/Star Wars/Ghostbusters/etc update thread", and I'm turning all that stuff into this year's Christmas hero-thon.
Okey dokey, so here we go.
Batman v Superman
Dawn of Justice (2016)
Coming in March, and on my list.
Lotta photos and two trailers since then.
A new one supposed to drop either tonight, or tomorrow.
Word is that Ben Affleck's Batman will cameo in all the other films, making him the DCCU Nick Fury.
Suicide Squad (2016)
Coming in August.
Ditto the above.
Google the titles, can't miss 'em.
This looks like it's really "Harley Quinn & Deadshot the movie (with some other guys)".
Fine by me!
Wonder Woman (2017)
Coming June of '17.
Directed by Patty Jenkins.
With Chris Pine as Steve Trevor.
And Robin Wright in an unspecified role.
Set half in WWI, and half in modern times, this looks to be the "Captain America: The First Avenger", of the DCCU.
The Flash (2018)
Written and directed by the guys who wrote "The Lego Movie".
Starring Ezra Miller.
Starring Jason Mamoa, and directed by James Wan.
Also, supposedly gonna be a Mamoa/Aquaman cameo in "Dawn Of Justice".
All we've got are promises that Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam.
No other casting, no nothin'.
Green Lantern Corps (2020)
Yep, the title is "Green Lantern Corps", so they can have multiple Lanterns.
John Stewart? Guy Gardner?
Justice League: Dark
Still very little on these.
Warners is letting New Line handle the Vertigo movies.
This doesn't apply to JLD though.
So, only Sandman so far.
Guillermo del Toro has piled so many dream projects onto his plate, he's had to bow out of JLD, and that's still looking for a new director.
Casting rumors that Colin Farrell is up for John Constantine, and that Ron Perlman is a favorite for Swamp Thing.
But, still just rumors.
As for Sandman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is directing, and hoping to star.
David Goyer said there would be a writer we were all going to like, but that hasn't been announced.
Booster Gold & Blue Beetle
But, every single news source on the planet ran with it.
If real, would have a buddy-cop feel to it.
Which doesn't hold with the overall vision of the DCCU being dark and with no jokes.
Bunch of rumors about Black Canary being in the DCCU as a secondary character like Black Widow.
All rather vague right now.
We'll see when the Justice League flicks come out.
Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar will return to their iconic roles in an animated 50th anniversary Batman '66 movie.
One assumes in 2016.
They're doing an animated movie of "The Killing Joke".
At. Fucking. LAST!!!
Also from DC animated "Batman: Bad Blood", and "Justice League vs Titans".
But...who gives a shit?
Lego Batman Movie (2017)
With Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, and Will Arnett as Batman.
Supposedly going to cameo/feature every single incarnation of Batman in some way.
Aaaand, that's all the DC movies that are in development.
Next up, Marvel.
