It's a rumor, but it's a rumor from a reliable source, and everyone seems to be running with it, so...
Short version, X-Men are being rebooted into the MCU as "The Mutants".
No word on when, probably 2022 or 2023.
Here's why I buy it.
1. "The Mutants" was Stan Lee's original title for X-Men, but his bosses made him change it, because no one outside of nerd circles knew what a mutant was in the 60's.
Course, this is dumb, no one knew what a fucking Jedi was until Star Wars came out, but people figured it out.
2. Every time Kevin Feige is asked about X-Men, he calls them "the mutants".
He refuses to utter "X-Men". It would seem he has that title on the brain.
3. A re-branding would be handy to separate it in the public's mind from the Fox-Men universe.
So, I'm thinking that's gonna be confirmed soon.
