Heavily inspired by "The Night Land" to the point I'd call it a remake-quel to it.
If it hadn't been for Steve, I don't think I'd know about it. It slipped past my Google-fu somehow.
I don't lump it in with "weird fiction" cuz even though it's adjacent, Greg Bear does more hard sci-fi.
I think my last hard SF book was...geez, Stephen Baxter's "The Timeships". Been awhile!
I was gonna do "Cthulhu's Daughters" after "Night Land" but Hell, I gotta jump right into this one.
I can't put it off.
