Alas, Phil Jones, the climate scientist at the center of the Climategate scandal, has now admitted that there has been no significant warming in 15 years (despite much higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere) and allows for the possibility that the Medieval Warm Period (obviously not caused by man) may indeed have been warmer than today.
As for the video posted, why does the author arbitrarily choose the early 1970s--when temperatures were at a minimum--to start his average graph when temperatures in the 1940s were higher? Obviously, to sell the idea that temperatures have only increased from 1970 or so without bringing up the embarrassing fact that they declined for about 30 years prior to that. By clever picking of intervals, one can show increases, decreases, or no change.
