Martin Landau (1928-2017)

He passed Saturday.
I remember him best for "Ed Wood", so here's all the times I mentioned that...
And here's his IMDB.

Fucked up weekend.
Awesome things in sci-fi, but a bunch of deaths.
Fucking roller-coaster.

Hey, I saw "After Last Season," that new "worst movie ever" that's making the rounds (it's from 2009 though.)

I think it's some sort of elaborate hoax. Cardboard props, sets that look like a warehouse being renovated, actors going on and on about nothing in particular and wasting loads of time (it's some sort of psychological murder mystery, but who cares) and a bunch of CGI effects that look like they predate "TRON."

It plays like a film made by someone with severe autism or something. Rumors of a hoax have been boosted by claims that the movie cost $5,000,000 to make, but someone ran off with $4.99 million of that, or calls to theaters to burn the prints because that would be cheaper than returning them.

It's not "so bad it's good" though, like "The Room" or anything like that. It's "bang your head against the wall" boredom, the dryest film I've watched since David Cronenberg's "Stereo." I'm uh, not recommending you bother.

Well, by that standard, I kind of consider the "Sharknado", movies, and "Birdemic", to be fakes too.

Cult cinema is a special alchemy that can't be counterfeited.

*Looks in Quentin Tarantino's direction with a soul piercing glare*
