The Call of Cthulhu: And Other Stories (2022)
Figured "At The Mountains Of Madness" references "The Call Of Cthulhu" and "The Colour Out Of Space" and this baby has them both, plus a bunch of other goodies; it was time to finally get this foundational text of horror, and give it a nice home with my Poes and Kings.
And speaking of.....
Dolores Claiborne (1992)
Geez, that's ("Dolores") gotta be kicking around too....
When I find it, I'm grabbing it.
If I don't find it, I'm re-buying it.
I re-bought it.
It may or may not turn up, but I need it now.
Did my heart really good to grab it.
Stings of shame that it took 33 years. But, I saw the movie with Ma, and she loved that, so it mitigates it a bit. *Googles* holy shit, they had that flick up and ready only 3 years later!
I also dug my inherited dusty copies of "Skeleton Crew" and "Tommyknockers" up.
Those turned up really easy. Which makes me suspect something happened to "Dolores".
Well, it matters not. I fixed it.
I've read "Skeleton Crew" but way back in high school. Have never read "Tommyknockers" but Ma described it to me like "Dolores".
Her audio book reports were something.
Thorough doesn't begin to describe.
"Mountains" is taking its sweet fucking time getting here.
There's also a nice collection of Arthur Machen I have my eye on (thanks, Billdude).
So, stay tuned for those.
