Oh, and its also the 11th anniversary of Harry Hembock: Dark Designs.
I couldn't think of anything to say about it this year.
But, from now on, I'll remember the anniversary better for when I do!

I watched Joss Whedon's "Serenity," the 2005 "Firefly" movie.
Uhm...it basically sucked. Two weak key character deaths, neither of which works, and whatever nuance the show had mostly deleted to create a generic "Star Wars"/"Aliens" knockoff, Only one or two great lines, the characters all watered down from the show and an inexplicably handled bad guy. Not interested in the "Reaver" zombies or the girl who turns into a badass ninja with psychic powers.
If this is really what the show would have turned into, then thank God it only lasted one season--I was lukewarm on the show, but it did everything better than this movie.
Thank God I only paid $3 to watch it!
"BlacKKKlansman" was okay. Pretty inconsistent there towards the end. Holy crap Topher Grace totally redeemed himself playing David Puke there.
Serenity- I agree with all of that, except I liked the show a lot more than you did.
But having Serenity for an ending doesn't help.
I pretty much have to delete it from my head-canon.
Its been sad to see Whedon turn into this bitter little bitch-boy.
He was a whiny bitch about "Age Of Ultron", running him ragged, then he apologized for being a bitch-boy, so it looked like he was coming out of it, then he finished off "Justice League", and made pissy comments about that.
Well, muthafucka, you didn't have to take the fuckin' job!
He sure liked the dollar signs though!
And all of that before we factor in his ex-wife's allegations of rampant infidelity and therefore hypocrisy with his woke-ness.
That made him quit Twitter forever.
Well, good.
None of this matters towards his directing ability, but if he is gonna be a public figure, dude, shut the fuck up.
And shut your fuck-buddies up.
Keep the drama in the movies.
Still, even with all his flaws, I'll take him over any of the genuine monsters circling around Harvey Weinstein.
BlacKKKlansman- Um...nothing to add. You summed it up just right.
Ditto Ross Perot.
