Remember me tellin' ya about the Nerds Blizzard?
Well, guess what?
Sour Patch Kids Blizzard!
I shit you not!
Dairy Queen learned nothing.
Or, they did 30+ years ago, and the young whippersnappers took over, and weren't told out of spite.
Also, as you can see in the graphic, they also sell it in pint buckets.
At least the pint version is in sorbet instead of milk ice cream.
That I could maybe handle.
..no, no I couldn't, *throws up in throat a little*.
Also, this happened...
Yep, Twinkies Cereal.
So....do the little Twinkies have creme filling, or what?
If so, why isn't this depicted in the box art?
And if not, why not? What's the point of the whole exercise if there's no cream?
And, if it sticks around long enough, say, long enough for "Ghostbusters 2020", to come out, will they cut another deal, and have lime green filled ones?
So many questions this product raises....
Oh, and speaking of cereals..
I always forgot to compile the monster cereals that I mentioned, here, here, and here.
Nearest I can figure, Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute are the same multi-fruit cereal.
They make Froot Loops with marshmallows, it's the same thing.
You want to feel alive again, like when the world was new?
Sprinkle some Chocula into a peanut butter sandwich.
Or, make marshmallow squares out of Boo-Berry.
See? I snuck recipes in there too.
Enjoy.

Did that stuff have nearly as much sugar back in the 80s as it does now? I tried that weird new blue Mountain Dew and it felt like someone was just injecting sugar into my veins. I look on the bottle, 77 grams, holy crap that is like crack cocaine. But how many grams were in it in the 80s?
Of course I'm talking about soda here and not ice cream, I don't think I'd eat that Sour Patch Kids stuff at gunpoint but I did have a huge fatass "Elevenade" (Stranger Things tie-in) and that probably made me gain five pounds (and lose like $8, while I was at it.) Er, I guess it was okay but it sure as hell wasn't GOOD for me.
(I suppose now's not the time to tell you that I wasn't impressed with "Stranger Things" at all, after viewing the first season. Too many fucking references to other stuff at once and good lord was Winona Ryder annoying! I'll keep going but for now I'm going to keep watching "The Americans")
Fruit Brute is in "Pulp Fiction." You see Eric Stoltz eating it.
Mountian dew sugar-
Yeah, Consumer Reports back then always had them as the one with the highest sugar content.
Even more than Jolt.
You needed Consumer Reports to lab test everything, because there was no government mandaded nutrition label.
At least now they're forced to admit to the 77 grams.
Elevenade-
Holy shit, a vanilla lemon hybrid??!
I've been looking for this!
I swear, when I was a kid, they made lemon ice cream.
Not sherbet, ice cream.
They just up and stopped making it.
I've googled around, and they still have it in far away boonies states.
It was my favorite as a kid right next to peanut butter swirl.
Ah, shit, I'm trying to lose weight, and 8 bucks is pretty steep though.
Dammit.
Stranger Things-
Sorry it's not your bag.
There's going to be "American Horror Story 1984", that looks both bloodier and sillier than "Stranger Things".
I'll give it a shot.
Mountain Dew - I guess there's the "throwback" Mountain Dew, which tasted fine to me, because it used orange juice as the third ingredient. "Dew Ice" is probably better for you too, it has real juice in it as well. However at Taco Bell when I get Nacho Fries I'm getting Baja Blast which is one of the few ten zillion Mountain Dew flavors I like. Aheh, this is like food porn, soon will be the age when I shouldn't even try eating this shit anymore at all!!!!
Elevenade - It's just vanilla ice cream and Minute Maid lemonade, nothing more. You could probably just get the ingredients yourself and use a blender. There are several other Stranger Things tie ins there too, some sort of Upside Down Cake flavor that I'm probably not going to try. The Elevenade tasted okay but I'm sure it has 8,000,000 grams of fat and sugar in it, maybe they should use some lard in there while they're at it!!
The Schwans man who delivered food in a truck around here (remmeber the Root Beer Float cups I told you about?) had a "Glacier Bay Lemon" flavor of ice cream which was not sherbet, it had little chunks of lemon cake in it too I think? It's probably long gone.
I will try the second and third ST seasons but I don't think the first did anything that Super 8 didn't do better.
*Needle scratch*
You liked "Super 8", better?!?!?
Wow...okay.
That's an opinion I haven't heard before!!
