Yeah, fuck it, I'm ditching the bullet-points.
Not quite as perfect as Chapter One, but still pretty damned good.
Better than the miniseries second half, for sure.
Yeah, they still didn't do the book ending.
But the book ending is really weird, and right out of Doctor Strange.
I can see why they chickened out, but I wish they hadn't.
But...the ending they used still captures the overall idea of the book ending.
Plus with little shout-outs to the miniseries ending.
They use the anti-gay hate crime beginning from the book.
The witch scene from the book is still toned down, they don't dare to go as far as the book there.
I dunno why, other horror movies have done worse since 1986 when the book came out.
Everyone is great as the adult version of the kids.
Bill Hader steals the whole movie.
A massive upgrade from Harry Anderson.
The kids are back in extra scenes, and they're still great.
Best Stephen King cameo ever!
There's a moment straight out of "John Carpenter's The Thing", you'll know it when you see it.
Overall, a satisfying conclusion.
If you liked Chapter One, you'll like this.
If you didn't like Chapter One, sorry, I can't help ya.
Can't wait for the ultimate cut of both of them stitched together.
