An anime on Netflix coming next month.
They've smeared their logo feces all over the pics, so they're probably overly copyright conscious.
Best to just link.
Basic plot: it's in Japan (natch) and a future soldier goes back to 1997 to protect a software developer who's made a good-guy AI to fight with or even prevent Skynet.
Like "Alien: Romulus" they're going to drop Easter eggs to the other movies.
T1 and T2 anyway.
Good.
The best moments in this franchise were T1, T2, and Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Maybe TV is the way forward if the movie studio suits can't get that shit right.
I wish T:SCC had gotten more seasons.
Hopefully, this anime will be the next best thing, or even better.
Anime has drawn influence from Alien, Bladerunner, and Terminator for forever.
'Bout time they just be allowed to do authorized sequels and prequels in those worlds.
They did a Bladertunner one, but I heard it wasn't great.
The prequel shorts to "Bladerunner 2049" were excellent though.
There's an Alien anime that was made....and then it got permanently shelved for legal/tax reasons by the Disney/Fox acquisition deal.
They should cut through the red tape, and put it out, goddammit.
Anyway!! Yeah. Terminator.
I won't be able to see it until it's on disk in 2 years.
But, you streamie folk out there, enjoy.
