Okay, this one's a little bit late (sorry, Billdude), cuz I had to do Christmas, and New Year's, and wrap up all the movie stuff in order to toss it into New Year's.
Then a couple news items dropped.
It was always something.

So, this is yet another sequel to "The Legion Of Sociopaths", and "More Legion Of Sociopaths".


Roy Cohn.

So, he was a lawyer.
A lawyer who was Joe McCarthy's (from the "Legion Of Sociopaths", list) chief counsel during, well, his witch hunt.
Let's not dignify it with its fancy name.

And, he represented Donald Trump during his early career, and taught him all the crooked shit he knows.
That he didn't already learn from Fred Trump.

And, was disbarred for unethical conduct when he tried to get a dying client to sign him into his will.
And, he died of AIDS 5 weeks later.

Cuz he was gay.
Typical hypocritical Republican gay.
He helped McCarthy hunt gays.
Yeah, they never tell you about "the lavender scare", just the commie hunting stuff.
Nope, McCarthy was every kind of asshole.
As was Cohn.
You always find that out.
If someone's an asshole, they turn out to be several other kinds of asshole.
If not all of them.
The bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, sexual predatory nature, and hypocrisy always pop up.

I love this quote from the Wikipedia article.

"Roy was not gay. He was a man who liked having sex with men. Gays were weak, effeminate. He always seemed to have these young blond boys around. It just wasn't discussed. He was interested in power and access."

"A man who likes having sex with other men", is gay.
As gay as Richard Simmons, or George Michael, or Rock Hudson.
How swishy you are, or not, doesn't matter.

Republican homophobia is all tied up in hatred of the feminine, because they hate women.
It's a fucked up disjointed mess of a belief system.
And Roy Cohn embodied it like a motherfucker.

And you always gotta wonder how consensual the stuff with those boys was.
Was it an Epstein situation?
Unless someone comes forward, we'll never know.
I'm gonna assume, given how cruelly he handled all his other affairs, his lovers were probably in for some sheer and abject misery.

I mean, he mentored Trump, and look at what a nightmare he's causing the whole planet right now.

Roy Cohn.
He's America the guy.

And it's creepy all this knowledge was/is publicly available, and we still got President Trump.
Well, that's America, isn't it?
Hopelessly and typically American.
