In defense of Terminator Salvation.

Notice, I didn't bother to re-watch and defend Genisys before Dark Fate.

Just rewatched "Terminator: Salvation", to refresh myself for "Terminator: Genisys". I like it. Better than the first time I saw it. I can't remember what I didn't like about it. I think it bugged me it focused on the Marcus character so much. I get the point of him now. He's the audience link to this future world, by having him Rip Van Winkled to the future without being psychologically changed by events of Judgement Day. He's like our reverse-Reese. And young-Kyle is the reverse-T2-John. So, the whole thing is reverse-T2. Cracking that made me appreciate it more. What they were going for was actually a neat idea. Overall, it's got great action pieces, it looks pretty, its chock full of continuity porn from the first 3, it has a comic book-y coolness to it. ...eh, it just lacks the emotional heart of the first 2. They try hard to get that element in there, but the future war setting is just too grim to pull it off. Better than T3, still not as good as T1 & T2.

Thought that would be neat to drop before Dark Fate.
I was heading into Genisys on that post.
I kinda dug Genisys on the first watch, but since its been on cable, it hasn't held up at all.

The critics are mostly saying DF is the best since T2.
We'll see if they're right.
