Ready Player One

Trailer.

Well, there you go, this is the final crossover entry.
Its mission is accomplished.

Right there, you've got Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, Iron Giant, Lady Deadpool, Freddy Krueger, Duke Nukem, ostriches from Joust, scorpion from Centipede, Delorian from "Back To The Future", light cycle from "Tron", and that's just the trailer.

There you go, everyone's crossed over.
It's "Imaginationland", the movie.

They did it.
I don't have to peck away at it anymore with single crossovers.
The thing is done.
Speilberg beat the game.
I'm retiring.

This has a trailer. Looks like a standard teen bullying movie though.

Yeah, I wanna check that out.
The author of the comic its based on really went to high school with him.

A lot of reviewers are taking moral offense that it's about Dahmer being a victim, and not his victims, but...I dunno, you kinda have to take a biopic on its own terms as a movie first, historical accuracy second, politics/philosophy last.

I'll be viewing it as a horror flick first, then dissect the rest after.

The author and the filmmakers seem to take the outlook I expressed in my Halloween review of the older Dahmer flicks.
Society makes its monsters.
Dahmer was fucked up to begin with, he was morally culpable for his crimes, sure, but a careless world that didn't help him poured gas on the fire.
He could have been stopped.
He could have been institutionalized and medicated.
No one kept an eye on him.

I bet whatever bullying stuff the movies show us will probably be minimal compared to what actually happened.

Dahmer's victims....well...I don't know how you could make a movie about *them* specifically, the scenes with the guys Dahmer courted in the Jeremy Renner movie were pretty damn weak.

Your outlook is probably how I'd characterize the Columbine shooters at this point (because that debate is still raging, believe it or not!)
