Masters Of Horror! (The Soska Sisters)

Well, mistresses of horror, really.
The Doublemint Twins of evil!
Sylvia is the one on the left, Jen is the one on the right

What, you can't tell twins apart?
Pfft. *eyeroll*

Anyway, this was becoming a sausage fest, so I needed some chicks.
Thing is, most of the women of horror are scream-queens.

It's a thin handful that are on the other side of the camera, and a thinner handful yet that are any damned good.
That's not sexist, that's just observing that a small sample size of any human group isn't going to yield many prodigies.

Anyway, to the flicks.

Dead Hooker In A Trunk (2009)

See here.

Once again, Sylvia is on the left, Jen is the one on the right with the eyepatch.
Still can't tell?

American Mary (2013)

See here, and here.

The Soskas pop up in it as patients for Mary.

I really think the sickness and humor of this one is somewhere between HC1 and HC2.
Yes, that good.

Yeah, it's only two so far, but as I said in one of those links up there, their improvement curve is astonishingly exponential.
I'm expecting great things from them.

Plus, McNaughton had one, Six has three, so why not?

Okay, if I ramble on, it won't be a quickie.

Next quickie, Robert Kirkman.

Soska sisters next project will be "XX", an anthology with multiple female horror directors.

The Lineup will also include Mary Harron ("American Psycho", yay!), and Jennifer Lynch ("Boxing Helena", booo!).

Next up for the Soskas, is "See No Evil 2".

Starring Katharine Isabelle (American Mary) and Danielle Harris (Hatchet 2 & 3).

Then, they're going to do a remake of "Painkiller Jane".

Soskas aren't in the lineup for "XX", anymore.

Here's my review of "See No Evil 2".

And of "ABCs Of Evil 2".

Their very next one is "Vendetta", which they describe as "Punisher goes to jail, and fights Kingpin".

That's all filmed and ready to come out July 12th.

Then, they're still on the for the Painkiller Jane reboot.
