The Update Warriors (Part 2, Classic Monsters).

Previous chapters.

Let's do this....

The Universal Monsters Cinematic Universe is finally going to get going in 2017.
Here's all the news on that...
  • Dracula is getting rebooted (see above link).
  • They want Angelina Jolie for Bride Of Frankenstein.
  • Tom Cruise is cast as the hero in The Mummy.
  • Sofia Boutella (sword-legs in "Kingsmen") is The Mummy.
  • Wolf-Man reboot will be in March 30, 2018
  • The Rock wants to be the new Wolf-Man.
  • Johnny Depp is going to be the Invisible Man.
  • Russel Crowe is Jekyll/Hyde.
  • Javier Bardem will be Frankenstein's Monster.
  • Scarlett Johansson has been offered Creature From The Black Lagoon (film, not character).
  • Roberto Orci wants to reboot Van Helsing in this universe.

Oh, and then this business happened.

Welcome to the monster cluuub! (Part 3!)

Hooray!! Again!!

King Kong vs Godzilla was officially confirmed for 2020.
So "Kong: Skull Island", and "Godzilla 2", have to be squeezed in between now and then.

The new Toho Godzilla, formerly "Gozilla 2016", is now called "Godzilla Resurgence".
"Shin Godzilla", in Japan.

And finally, quickie stuff from last year...
  • No word on the Nosferatu remake.
  • No word on Brides of Dracula series.
  • Victor Frankenstein was a stinkbomb.
  • No word on the Blob remake.
  • No word on "Rampage", and Dwayne Johnson has 20 other fuggin' movies.

So, holding pattern this year, but next year, it should all explode.

Tomorrow, Weee're the Hooorror Maasteerrs! Don't wanna dream no moooore!!

Sofia Boutella was also the white faced alien girl in "Star Trek: Beyond" which I still haven't seen.

Oh, and to confirm what you probably already knew and have subsequently forgotten about anyway, "Maps To The Stars" (David Cronenberg) is a worthless piece of garbage.

That's right, Jayla from ST: Beyond.
I knew it was something else famous, but I brain farted when I was typing it.

As for "Maps To The Stars", haha!!
Cronenberg's lost his mojo!

I hope Jaylah's career lasts longer than Persis Khambatta's does. Poor girl. Her life kinda turned out side. (I'm making the comparison because Khambatta's face was all over the posters for ST:TMP, just like Boutella's is now.)

Sofia Boutella has 2 other flicks lined up besides "The Mummy".
If "The Mummy", hits, and they can get that Universal Monsters Universe up and going, she'll be all right.
Plus, Jayla could come back for Star Trek 4.
