I almost mentioned these in the "Poe-read-a-thon 2" post, but I was fried, and said "fuck it".
Then I've struggled back and forth whether to do a separate post for them.
Yeah, I wanna now.
Let's do it.
So, there are actually two more Arthur Pym sequels, but I don't have access to them.
They are as follows.
Young All-Stars: The Dzyan Inheritance (1988)
A four issue arc in the regular "Young All-Stars" Series.
The same "Young All-Stars" that has Iron Munro, the son of Hugo Danner!!
So, the broad plot strokes are (from Comic Vine), the YAS go to Antarctica, find Arthur Gordon Pym still alive amongst the Dzyan, an advanced race of snow-people, along with good ol' Dirk Peters.
Pym and Dirk are charged up with a power called Vril that gave them immortality, and super powers.
Apparently, the Dzyan have Vril on tap like Coca-Cola.
Spoilers for a 37 year old comic you can't buy at stores:
Arthur goes full super-villain, has a power battle with Dirk that Dirk fatally loses.
Jesus, it's like an unintentional running joke that Dirk Peters can't catch a fucking break!
The goodies ultimately beat Arthur, and all is well.
Oh, and the Mer-boy on their team finds out he's Arthur's part-Dzyan grandson.
So!! Arthur Pym's grandson, and Hugo Danner's son are canon to the DC universe!!!
Wild, huh?
Bet they never end up in movies though.
But!!
Pym goes villain in "Pym" but without the powers.
And Pym and Dirk find an advanced civilization in a "A Strange Discovery".
And they fight a powered villain in "Discovery" too.
And the Tekelians A.K.A "snow honkeys" in "Pym" are basically parodies of the Dzyan.
It's all kind of redundant.
You read "Discovery" and "Pym" and you've seen it.
Spoilers end:
Like I said in the spoiler warning, you can't grab these at Barnes & Noble as a graphic novel.
Nope, you have to dig down in the Ebay-o-sphere for the four individual issues.
And you typically get the whole series along with it.
I just want the Arthur Pym ones.
And the Hugo Danner ones too, I guess.
I don't wanna go through that bullshit.
The effort or the price.
Just don't wanna.
La Conquête de l'Eternel (1947)
(The Conquest of the Eternal)
By Dominique André.
Out of print, and untranslated from the French.
It's pricey as a rare book, but not crippling. 37 bucks.
But, it's French. I'd have to learn French, know somebody who could manually translate it, or hire some sort of scanning and translating service. Any which way you go, you're running into way more money.
Like the Ebay hunt for "Dzyan" I just don't wanna.
Took a deep Google dive trying to find at least a plot description, and some obscure blog had like, two short sentences vaguely saying how the new protagonist meets the white robed figure from the end of "Arthur Gordon Pym" and it's the God Saturn who takes him on a magical tour (presumably like the ghosts from "A Christmas Carol").
Again, redundant.
Poe has a trilogy of stories of Angels looking down on a post-apocalypse Earth and commenting on the folly of man.
The Poe canon already has that kind of story.
But, again, I only have the two sentences from that buried blog to go from.
Who knows how correct it is, and how much they're leaving out.
Anyway! That's those!
That's what got left out.

His return episode got 3.6 million viewers and on Youtube, it got 26+ million views. Trump is still squawking "No ratings! No talent!". Keerist, he's trash.
