Stuff since last time-
-I finally realized I'm as sick of Star Wars as Carrie Fisher probably was.
-Newest thing out is "Andor" season 2, and the fans are already having doggie-paddle slap-fights about it, and I'm even more committed to checking out on that fandom.
-20th anniversary of "Revenge Of The Sith" is coming up this month. I'll have some things to say about that, and retro link it here. And that'll really be it.

I think the saddest thing about the "Star Wars" fanbase is that it has lasted through several generations without any of those generations not being full of basement dwelling fucktards.
I'll be rewatching ROTS for 20th anniversary too. Remember, it's my favorite SW movie, and it's not supposed to be!
Stephen King doesn't strike me as having ever hid it or been coy about it when he rips stuff off. Isn't Roland Deschaines supposed to just literally BE Clint Eastwood?
Poe: It's been a while since I read his stuff. My opinion of him has possibly been wrongly colored by his sordid personal life and I should probably reread all his better known stuff.
I mean, I didn't even reread "Pit And The Pendulum" but watched two movie versions of it last year, that was stupid of me. Durrrp.
Re: Poe's sordid life. I did some reading up on that. Yeah, he married his 13 year old cousin. But! Historians, and even even his own buddies at the time think he never consummated. They think he may have been what we call now asexual. He loved women with his heart, and they inspired him to write stuff, but that's it. Allegedly. As weird as it was to marry his cousin, it would have been weirder to be ace, and never marry, so I think his parents got that whole thing together to shut society up. Y'know, like "he's got enough weird going on; let's just hitch him up with Ginny".
Curiously enough, there have been arguments as well that the Reverend Charles Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll) wasn't a pervert either, even though he took nude pictures of underage girls. I dunno. I guess I don't really have a horse in that race.
I mean, if it ain't gonna take down Elvis or Chuck Berry, it ain't gonna take down Poe, I guess. Ah, screw it, I don't know what I'm talking about anymore.
