So, it looks like Ryan Reynolds isn't just bringing in Wolverine, he's assembling the whole Fox-Marvel-verse.
And he's starting with....
Elektra!!
Yep, muthafuckin' Elektra.
And not Netflix-Elektra.
Genuine original Jennifer Garner Elektra.
She's officially casted.
That's hilarious.
"Elektra" is the "Batman & Robin" of Marvel.
Making Garner the George Clooney.
Ryan Reynolds must have seen "The Flash" and said "hold my beer".
That canonizes both "Elektra" and Affleck "Daredevil" cuz she's in that.
Old review of Elektra here.
I've since made it all the way through it (when I got it for my 40th birthday).
It won't make you want to kill yourself or anything, but the pace is slow as molasses, and there's some really silly shit in there.
There's a good reason it's the second least-loved of the pre-MCU Marvel movies next to "Man-Thing".
Also brought it up here when I discussed the evolution of Marvel's movie deals.
And here when I discussed what Disney has the rights to stream.
Oh!! Update on that!
Disney added an R rated section and a parental block, and that allowed them to add all the R rated Fox stuff, including the Deadpools.
Plus, they cut a deal with Sony for the Spidey Home Trilogy, and with Universal for MCU-Hulk.
So, the whole MCU is under one roof now.
Now, Reynolds just has to work the Tim Story Fantastic Four cast in!
Fingers crossed!
Stay tuned!
....I feel compelled to watch "Elektra" again now...🔍
