Book review here.
Purchasing volume 6 in hard copy here.
Loved it.
One of my new favorite things ever.
There's a bunch of changes from the books, but they're all little things, the core is all there.
You can tell Gaiman had control. There's no typical Hollywood mutilation going on.
This season is the first two books ("Preludes And Nocturnes" & "The Doll's House") mooshed together, and shortened
With short stories from book 3 ("Dream Country") tacked on the end as a bonus episode.
The cliffhanger hints at season two being book four ("Season Of Mists").
Hopefully, if it's a two book mashup like season one is, we'll get to "A Game Of You" too.
I'm gonna bawl like a baby for that one. Can't wait to see who they cast as Thessaly.
You're gonna love Thessaly! I'm SO excited for you to see Thessaly!
*Rubs hands, and hops up and down*
Honest Trailers just did their parody, and all they could really knock was how emo Dream comes off.
But Neil Gaiman uses that.
You're supposed to be annoyed by his emo-ness.
His own sister chides him for it. It's a big plot point.
The cast is exquisite, I can't think of any weak links.
One of my least favorite characters in the books was Fiddler's Green, and he's played by Stephen Fry, which makes me love him. Dammit, show!! Why do you have to be so perfect?!?!
Gwendoline Christie was born to play Lucifer.
Anyone who whines about that gender flip can go sit on a frying pan.
This is fucking good.
Gaiman fans rejoice, and non-book newbies, welcome aboard.
I'm definitely buying this on disk, along with collecting the books.
Like I said in the book review, Sandman is for everybody.
Its got everything.
You'll love it.
Hop on board.
